W204 vs W205 - Motor Authority Review

That said, enthusiasts will miss the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V-8 from the last-generation C63. Now relegated to legendary status, that engine offered immediate throttle response and linear power delivery with a wallop. While this engine is just as powerful, it’s more refined and therefore doesn’t deliver quite as much crazy, stupid fun.

Most reviewers state this, but not as directly. You have to really read between the lines, as most journalists are scared of writing a bad review. For example, when they say the new W205 has strong power from 1750 RPM, what that tells you is that there's a lag or delay from idle to 1750. Not so with our 6.2L NA engine.
Glad I bought a 2015 while it was still available.
Made in Germany, more solid, no stupid turbos or electronic gimmickry.

Expected this and is why in 2014 I heard it was coming I went with a W204.

Lexus, Toyota, and Scion are all part of Toyota Motor Corporation. Toyota sells way more models of vehicles that gas savers on Toyota and Scion, so they can still be using an NA V8.
Mercedes doesn't own any other sub brands or make enough cars with lower gas mileage(Smart, but they don't sell very much vehicles), so they have to find other ways like downsizing with turbos to boost MPG numbers throughout their entire lineup.
