I don't know that Mercedes will just sell you an engine. I think i remember awhile back when MB was fixing the headbolt issue with a new crate motor, it was like $42,000. I've seen some used engines for sale for $15-20,000. Why do you need a new engine? If it's for a project car, just use an LSx.

Ebay has them from time to time, and some of the more MB focused speed shops have leads for used 6.2's. I would email some of the MB speed shops, EC, Renntech, Wiestec, etc.... GL.

I've seen them on eBay for 10-15, but higher mileage. This thread gives me anxiety haha. Good luck! Hope it wasn't head bolt issues.

Check with your local euro mechanic shops. Used short blocks are usually 10gs
