Nearly there, but not quite.
Hello all. Ive done plenty of lurking on here and posted a few times, but have never really properly introduced myself and my car. I purchased my 2011 C63 in early December and have lost countless hours of sleep over the challenges it has presented me with. First, here she is;
Car is sporting a 3M "Matte Metallic Gray" wrap, and Niche wheels wrapped in Michelin PSS. Modifications so far; Milltek high-flow primary cats, secondary cats replaced with straight pipes (oh the glory), H&R springs, and Eurocharged V5 tune.
You may recall my thread about the "supercharger like wine" sound that the car was making at mid to high rpms, it took a very long time to diagnose but it turned out to be a leaking header gasket so I replaced both, no more sound. However the biggest issue still remains; If I'm using more than roughly 50% of throttle above 4,000 RPM, the car will no longer increase RPMs, lose power, and have multiple cylinder misfires until I shut the car off, sometimes accompanied by PO171 (lean bank 1) code, although sometimes it only throws the misfire codes. Once I turn off the car and start it back up it runs normal. Power is good below 3,000 rpm but I know it should have far, far, far more power as the revs increase. Almost as if the car is starving?
Through my searches I've narrowed the cause down to a few possibilities;
Fuel Pump
Cam Sensor
MAF Sensor
Injectors
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Vacuum Leak
^Do these sound reasonable?
I'd like to ask for your gentlemen's opinion on what may be the cause? I've owned this car for almost 2 months and still haven't been able to push it hard. This kills me. THANK YOU in advance for any help. I'm very thankful to be a part of such a great online community.

245-40-19 in the front, 275-35-19 in the rear. The fronts fit fine but I'm needing to do a little more work on the rear fenders to fit the 275-35's without rubbing. They say it can't be done when lowered but its nearly there.

When it comes to issue of fuel management etc never discount the possibility its the ECU, particularly if you have a tune (and no I am not being brand specific here, I mean any tune - I myself have a Eurocharge and love it). The writing and rewriting of the tune can sometimes cause glitches, and the more times that ECU has been rewritten the greater the likelihood that is the issue.

C63 AMG Edition 507 Sedan
I'm trying to figure out what tires to go with on a 507 sedan on stock suspension - there are plenty of threads on wider, but I can't find much on using a 35 series on 19s
Good luck with your problems

Sure. I don't see why not. Also, it may have had one before you got it. Not saying thats the only way, or even the likeliest, just saying its a possibility.

I believe 19" by 8.5"? Offset is a mystery, I had .200" machined off of the mounting face of the rear wheels to help fit them in, and I don't know what they were to begin with, wish I could help you more there. I will try to get the spec's and PM them to you. Thanks for the luck! I need it at this point.

By the way I love your signature. The previous owner of my car got my contact info from the dealership I bought the car at and called me asking if I would consider selling it back to him, he bought a M177 C63 to replace it and claimed it's "not nearly the same kind of driving experience" with the 4.0 TT...

My 2011 had a very simular issue...power cutting out randomly at higher rpm. My dealer tried couple of things and finally replaced fuel pump under warranty and issue never came back. Apparently when the fuel pumps start to go this is a common symptom. Hope this helps.

Was in traffic this morning and the car started to misfire and run rough, and the CEL turned on. As I was approaching my destination, a HUGE cloud of white smoke blew out the exhaust for about 15 seconds, then no smoke, pulling into the parking lot it blew a bit more smoke but not a lot. Smoke doesn't smell like burning coolant as far as I can tell. Switching the tune back to stock and having the car flatbedded to MB for diagnosis. This is really really scaring me as I have a 3rd party extended warranty. Thoughts?!?!? I'm thinking stuck injector(s)? When I read the codes yesterday it was only showing misfire on 2 and 4. No coolant warning or other codes.

I haven't been able to do so considering I parked it, went into my meeting, and now I'm waiting for a tow truck. I'm having to tow it home just to flash it back to stock, and then tow it again tomorrow morning to the MB dealership.... What a bummer

Ok so after reviewing my warranty paperwork. It roughly states that as a comprehensive warranty plan, all equipment, mechanical or electrical, is covered under warranty. I hope I shouldn't have an issue getting the repairs covered then...

Nice car. Reminds me of a member here but he had yellow calipers. I don't recall his username. Where did you get the car from?
Did you have the car checked when you had the first misfiring codes? What is your third party warranty? I had easycare platinum on my 09 sedan when I bought it from Momentum in Houston 3 years ago. Top notch!
As for your wheels you probably have a very aggressive offset in the back ET45 maybe. GL

For those interested in those wheels they are niche misano wheels. I was looking at those. Except I was told to go with 245/30/20 front and 275/25/20 in the back. Offset was if memory serves me right 38mm front and 50mm back.
Got any more pics of your car, looks good!
