I don't know if mine was slipping or what, it was weird, it would cut power when shifting to 4th gear, make the shift then applies power again. It only did this in manual mode which made it even stranger... Glad to be upgrading though.

That was a quick change of mind. What caused yesterdays "all's well that ends well" to todays blowing the fuse and wanting a refund?

Dunno what's going on over there.. Sometimes companies get too big too fast then sales drop off.. Who knows. I just hope this is a bump in the road.. Was thinking of building the engine one day and throwing on that smaller pulley sitting in the garage.

A mea culpa here. I deleted this post. It looks like the email I received from Weistec was sent before I went there for our meeting. So that makes sense. My apologies to Weistec for blowing my top. But we still have several equally significant issues to address which I alluded to in my deleted post and which deal with the first build. More on that later...
Sorry for getting everyone excited but that said it wasn't over nothing. i'm still wrestling with two entirely different stories that I have been told. I see trouble ahead anyway.

Ok, Zach and I had a heart to heart today. I expressed my frustration at everything that had happened and particularly, my perception that somehow my integrity was being questioned by being asked to produce documentation and records of conversations etc. when everything should have been on a few keystrokes away in their records, and particularly because all I did, frankly, was to be a good customer and immediately pay any bill that was presented to me. Zach responded calmly and professionally, sincerely apologized if in any way I perceived that Weistec was being anything less than dedicated to resolving this situation to my satisfaction, and explained where he was coming from in trying to put things right while getting up to speed as the third party in. If anything transpired in the process that rubbed me the wrong way that was absolutely not his intent. I believe and accept that.
I had contacted Weistec today to have them refund me and then we would just call it a day. In doing so, I let him know that I'm one of these people that is hard wired with an on/off switch and the switch was just hopelessly turned "Off.'" I just didn't want the trans anymore, the anticipation and excitement about this mod having totally dissipated also. Zach expressed his 100% commitment to delivering the trans within the stated time frame and asked me to reconsider in light of the various thought he had expressed about the situation and his having to get on top of the facts. I had the choice of accepting everything said to me at face value or not and after hearing him out I do fully accept them. In the end that was a natural and logical - as well as most importantly emotional - decision and I thank him for his forthrightness. We listened to, and really heard what each other said without being defensive in any way. So we are back on. The trans will be done in a few weeks.
I don't think I was too hard on the guys. But like most things in life, willingness to meet halfway makes a win-win much more likely and thankfully that's where we've ended up.

If that's the case those are very bad news because right now Weistec is the only transmission holding big power. In my case my car has 1000 WHP and so far is holding great. With many visits to the track with slicks and 9 second passes. This past weekend I attend to the PR Half Mile and made 10 passes between Saturday and Sunday and the tranny works perfect.

There is someone else in Melb Australia who can build these transmissions. I've been in a c63 with 3500rpm converter that makes 750+rwhp using this trans no slippage at all. Unfortunately I don't know who it is as the owner of the car doesn't live in Australia anymore.

I call Renntech long time ago when I was looking for a tranny upgrade but they can't tell me how much power can hold. They just told me that their car had gone many times to the track and had no problems. But their car is N/A with boltons. I am sure a good shop can do it, but I prefer to use something that is already tested while I can.
