MFactory's Project C63 AMG

Hey guys,

just registered as a sponsor there, and thought I would share a video of our Project C63 AMG and the new exhaust note (valve on/off).

Full IPE System with Eurocharged Tune, and MFactory Helical LSD (more info on our LSD here: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...eady-ship.html)
Been a long day. Final result: 573hp/520lbft (We're in the UK, so figures are at the flywheel)

FML nearly every 63 that has long tube manifolds and a tune from MSL comes out with 570hp. I'm so jealous.

I'm curious - was not aware that UK testers report power at the crank. You're clearly measuring at the wheels. How do you adjust?

Most of the world reports at the crank; it's really only North America where they do it at the wheels (hence we say bhp, not whp). As this is mainly a US-Based forum, this is why most will talk in whp. The calculation is done by the dyno software, and is normally around 18-20% drivetrain loss for RWD's.

That's the good thing about the IPE system, as it has a controller so you can turn the exhaust valve on/off when you require. With the valve closed, it's very quiet (apart from cold-start, which WILL wake all the neighbours up! lol)

I actually find my IPE at Cold Start quieter than my OEM Exhaust at cold start.

Mines is wired in to start with the valve open.

Actually, I picked mine up used. The Controller is a little retarded, so the AUTO Function actually doesn't work, and whatever setting I left it in when I turned the car off, it'll start in that setting.

But, I close my valves when I enter my complex anyways, just to be courteous. I left it open once, and the next day I cold started, felt so bad, immediately closed them, haha.
