Group Buy: DSS - Carbon Fiber Driveshaft
Awesome. I realize a drive shaft isn't the hardest thing ever, but I like the spirit of that.

One thing I will caution everyone... don't be alarmed but the CF driveshaft actually is not THAT much lighter than the OEM driveshaft. But one piece > two pieces for throttle responsiveness - goodbye carrier bearing!

And what are your initial thoughts?
Your feedback at this point?
I'll say this in addition... Last year I got a WaveTrac LSD installed - before that I had an open diff. My initial thoughts on the driveshaft are that it enhances that open diff vs. LSD feeling where your throttle feels more responsive and your tires just grip & rip when you get on it. TBH though I am awful at explaining how different mods made my car drive differently - I can certainly feel a difference though (in a good way). I think Asher and BLKROKT will provide much more descriptive and helpful feedback than myself.
Check out below a quotation from the other forum, this is not my posting.
Installed my carbon fiber driveshaft today! Install was really easy and only required 14mm, and 12mm socket/wrenches. Had it done in about an hour and it was definitely worth it. The bounce i used to have when letting off the gas or getting on it quick is gone. Shifting/downshifting feels lighter and smoother when letting off the clutch, and according to the "butt dyno" it feels like i have picked up a little bit of power...nothing overwhelming, but noticeable. Old unit with the bolts and collar i removed is close to 30 lbs...the new unit is around 13 lbs. Did one pull to 80ish and their was a slight hint of vibration but nothing much. Really happy with the product that The Driveshaft Shop put out.

Also there's nothing on their site, but only some other postings that it saves 20 lb, not clear where those guys got the info.
