Anyone still interested in getting another GB going? A few people chimed in but we didn’t hear much after that. So bump this up. Read pages 7 forward for good feedback after install and all the whining about weight differences subsided. 😁

I remember when you know who swore he felt a big difference with the 1/2lb weight savings. And he didnt care if made sense or not, he felt it. Sounds alot like what I felt with the lightweight underdrive upd crank pulley, only the weight savings was like 3-5lbs or 25%-40% of rotational mass but was generally deemed BS. But nonetheless this mod does seem pretty cool. Whats the cost again? Also did they ever lighten it up even more? Definately interested.

Now time for a magic...shaft! I’m guessing a few hundred off if someone were offering it. Prob need 10 blah blah blah. But I think people confirmed it’s simple bolt in which works for me!

Instead of the OE shaft (lol) twisting before the rear responds as load is applied, it will feel more instantaneous.

I snapped my stock driveshaft in half at the drag strip. I’d assume this is much stronger. I wouldn’t mind the piece of mind even without the weight savings.

Bingo. There is a lot to feel with a carbon driveshaft. Mostly in the way it feels. Nobody is going to notice a difference in speed, but it does make a difference in trans to rear end pick up.

But there is some truth to your comment, soyboy. The ud pulley and this are nothing alike. The pulley added 13whp on my clk while this mod probably added jack-shyt to your mid 11 second car.

2 posts 16 min apart about the same reply? It appears you have some mental stability issues you should probably look into.

Not really, typed both of em right after each other (actually meant to be 1 single comment) but got distracted with something more important than mbworld, like watching novelas, looked at phone after commercials and noticed it on screen and clicked submit. What a psycho I am. You guys look way too much into pointless stuff. But in all seriousness the last people I would expect/take "mental stability" advice from is you jerkNoff, BLKBETTY, and Maztubater. You guys are an interesting bunch, no doubt.

MasPuto, for being as old as you are you got a lot to learn. I didn't join mbworld to pick up brownie points. Came here for info, opinions and banter. Thats it. I don't get hung up on opinions of kochsmokers I will never meet. Good thing is, theres alot of cool and very helpfull people on this forum and only a couple azzholes (myself included).

Has anyone thought about the responsiveness change is a direct result of losing the rubber guibo (flex disc)? We already know the carbon driveshafts are NOT light weight from the suppliers. I have a feeling putting an aluminium plate where the guibo was would give you the same feel.
