Help with C63 Black Series Replacement Brakes (Pads and Rotors)
Hi y'all!
I've been doing some research into replacement brakes (pads and rotors) for my black series, either OEM or aftermarket and I wanted to throw this question out there. I'm finding that a lot of the info I've been seeing is limited, old, or brake upgrades for standard AMGs to black series spec brakes.
Anyways, is there any good alternatives to OEM? I've seen RB floating around with Girodisc, with the latter being the better manufacturer. Additionally, are there any sites that sell OEM parts for less than normal prices? I had an e60 M5 where I was able to buy rotors online (from the midwest) that were I think $200 to $300 less a piece than normal dealer pricing. I'm curious if there's something like that for Mercedes. I know with the black series, I really won't be able to get away from the high cost of parts, but I might as well try to save a few bucks when I can when getting OEM parts.
Thanks for any help!

There's a vendor with new ones on ebay for $850. That's the cheapest you're gonna find for OEM. FCPEuro is $1015. Like BMW you can buy the Brembos directly if you don't need them to come in a Mercedes box.
Double check me here, but I'm pretty sure black series fronts are 2304211212 used across a couple of AMGs.

edit: wrong about the rears

I don't think the rears are the same as a normal C63. Racing brake tried to offer a BS sized upgrade and I thought there were significant differences on the rears of the BS cars. I think non-BS rear rotors are smaller.

Only thing that's the same is the pads. Both front and rear rotors are different (bigger), front caliper itself is the same but the bracket is different, and rear caliper is different.

Yeah, I know for sure that the fronts are larger... thought the rears were the same. But, I'm confused with the part numbers. Realjones88, that's the same part number that the dealer gave me; however, it's the same part number as both sides. I thought the left and right would be different (my M5 had different rotors, left and right). Unless he was just lazy and only put one P/N. Now, looking online, I'm getting different P/Ns for BS rotors:
AutohausAZ
http://www.autohausaz.com/pn/2194210212OE
Lists the P/N as 2194210212OE. And it specifically stated for the BS.
Parts.com
https://parts.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...-Caliper-ROTOR
Lists the P/N as 2124210512. Also specifically stated as a BS rotor.
FCP Euro
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...mbo-2304211212
Lists the P/N as the dealer... A2304211212. And the Brembo version is the same as what you stated Realjones88.
I haven't even looked at the rear rotors yet.
Overall... confusing, lol. What sucks is that I can't seem to find a place that sells just the rotors, not the whole set (rotor and hat). I would imagine that's all I need and would save a little bit off the top. But, seeing the part number that connects OE and OEM from Brembo, I may just get the Brembo versions.
Too bad upgrading to ceramics is the equivalent to buying a new cheap car, haha.

2194210212OE = 360mm two piece rotor for P30 C63
2124210512 = 360mm '1.5' piece rotor for p31 C63
A2304211212 = 390mm two piece black series rotor, also found on higher class AMGs
The two piece rotors are also stamped 360 or 390 if you see an actual picture of them.
Measure your current rotors, you might just needs pads as well.

What I meant was measure the thickness of your rotors and if they are well above min thickness (stamped on the side) you might need to replace ONLY the brake pads.
On my car the pads will need to be replaced soon, but the rotors still have nearly 2mm of wear left.

Hey guys.
Doing some reasearch about replacing brakes, found this thread. I'm getting close to changing my brake pads, and I was wondering if I have to change anything else with it - like rotors, discs, ABS sensors. Everything is working just fine. My car has around 14kish miles. I'm not sure if I MUST do it right now, but as I live in Brazil, and parts here are often extremely overpriced (specially for this car), I like to plan myself ahead.
Many thanks in advance.

You don't need to change your rotors unless its at the minimum thickness. I don't remember what that minimum thickness is, but it should be imprinted on the rotor itself. ABS sensors, unless I'm mistaken, are never replaced... they are not a wear and tear item (of course, if it goes bad, it needs to be replaced). The brake pad sensor should be replaced if it's been tripped (i.e., the car is telling you to replace the pads).
I changed my rear pads alone... not very hard to do. Since they're Brembo brakes, they're pretty standard among a lot of performance cars and thus, instructions can be found easily online. Also, I found the part numbers for the pads and ended up buying the OE pads on eBay for a much cheaper price (non-MB branded, but the same manufacturer). One of the manufacturers is Jurid (it took me quite a while to confirm that). In any case, do your own research and ensure you understand what you're buying and doing (if you end up changing out the pads yourself).

Thanks very much for the feedback, my friend!
My doubt was about the brake pad sensors, and it seems that it’s interesting to change them when I change the brake pads.

Sorry for the thread resurrection but OP, can you provide some insight for us black series owners as to what you ended up doing to replace your brakes? I’m preparing in advance and it would be great to know what info you’ve been able to gather and where you purchased from.
