Broken rods on C63 amg Intake Manifold
If only the rods are broken and the intake manifold is not cracked, am i able to replace the rods and gaskets if it is just that or do i need to buy a new intake manifold? Any input will help. Thanks

Check engine light comes off and on from time to time, car feels like it has less power, and when i start it up in the morning its quiet vs loud. The mechanic did not check to see if the manifold is cracked, he only sprayed something and said that i need to get a new intake manifold. any advice would be nice. thanks again

If the manifold bolts are broken, chances it was torqued incorrectly. If the manifold is not cracked or damaged, try swapping the gaskets first see if it solves your issue. Intake mani gaskets are actually a common issue on these cars.

(and if you think that was taking a shot at a 'mistake', your understanding of the order of forum posts is inadequate)

I tried to help by offering a suggestion. You offered nothing, as usual, and only piped up when a more likely solution was posted and tagged onto it like a little *****.

Here's the original post
This post was from someone who clearly knows nothing about these cars - like you - and didn't provide any reasonable description. "Rods" could have meant any number of things. "Broken" could mean anything to someone who writes like that and may not have a perfect grasp on the language or ISSUE. I offered one possible culprit. There have been plenty of problems with fuel rails, and "broken" could easily describe any of them. Just look at the R63 Unicorn who recently had a broken fuel rail boss on his manifold. Genius.

You just don't want to admit when you are wrong, do you? Anything that approaches that turns in to a war of attrition where the other poster has to try to match the unlimited time of a retired guy who wants to talk Mustangs and SSRs on a C63 forum.
