Tune Problems - help please

I had a couple suggestions---
easiest is to connect your the reader/tool back to your computer, do the check for updates 3 times then upload the flash software EC gave you again to the box
flash your car and see if that helps
If that doesn't help there is a setting in STAR to reinitialize your throttle body -- try that
And lastly if that doesnt work there is another setting in star to reinitialize your ECU -- try that as well

heligarret what did EC say Monday?
Did you try my recommendations? Update the tool 3 times/reload/reflash the tune? Take it back to where you had the STAR diag done and reset TB/ECU?
That's typical for a dealer they won't touch cars that are modded until it's back to factory specs. If you continue with the dealer you will spend way too much and they will in the end probably tell you to replace the ECU since it was flashed.

the problem is even if he goes back to stock software the issue is still there. That typically tells me there is a hardware issue. The only other time I have personally seen this is when something fails on the dyno. I am still leaning toward him having clogged cats.
Op do you get any bad smells from the exhaust?
Now the dealership said no because of row boxes so I'm betting the previous owner had a tune on it and you glitched your ecu.
Put stock boxes or buy some off eBay for like 200 and take it to another dealer and have they re flash the whole ecu.

This is possible and experienced it myself. On another tune on a different model car, I had an EC tune that actually did modify other parameters in the ECU I had to redo myself after months of trying to figure out.
Bottom line from what you went through is a software issue caused from the initial flash. Reverting back to stock still had the problem because the flash caused the glitch.
Try my recommendations reflashing, then resetting the TB then ECU.

I asked for the MB 1800 # and called myself. They took all my details and called back to say they would give me $300 discount off the repair and the dealer would give me $100 discount. I told them this was completely unacceptable. After a long discussion I got nowhere!!!
I called EC and they asked me to ship the control unit to them. I called the dealer and told them to put my car back together and I would pay for diagnosis and that I was taking the car to BMW that day to trade in for an M4. I got a call back 10 minutes later to say they were going to cover it 100%.
I got the car back and its driving like a champ! I then called EC and asked for a refund. They asked for hand held back and after inspecting it THEY would refund me. I shipped it back today so I will keep you posted on refund!
I really want a tune but am on the fence after this experience.....
I wonder what Eurocharged's response is as to what could have caused this. I know a majority on here have their tunes, but I feel like they also have the most issues vs other tuners. I have their tune on our S65 AMG and its been flawless. Wonder what's up on this platform?
