Noob question; non-squealing of tires; rear-end shook

Ok, guys. Put on your "patience-with-the-new-guy" cap for this one. I am brand new to the C63 W204. Wanted to experience "peel out" of my tires this morning. Found a patch of non-busy road; stopped; ESP off, S+ Mode: punched it, and I THINK the tires squealed, but I didn't hear that screeching sound nor see smoke; rather, the rear end shook like it was falling apart. Is this normal for the first phase of the deed? (I let up about 2 seconds into it). Was I doing something wrong? I am stock, but should have plenty of power for the basic act of peeling out, but don't think I did it correctly. Still figuring out the characteristics of the car.

Appreciate any thoughts you could share.

Thanks

Kris

Wheel hop. No tire is going to grab under those conditions.

Thanks for the info. Can you see anything in my described process that was an incorrect technique, that may have contributed to the wheel hop?

Thanks again.

Bushing deflection with rapid changing load as the tire slips and grips.

Nope, you're good... Typical wheel hop... Happens in pretty much any RWD car. However, if smoke is what you're after, those tires are gonna have to get nice and toasty before they start creating smoke. A simple 'mash of the gas' isn't really going to produce much lol

Put your foot on the brake when doing it. Not all the way, but enough to keep your car mostly in place...

I can't stand wheel hop. Makes me feel like I'm driving a pos.
