I run with headers, hi-flo cats, x-pipe, OEM resonators, OEM mufflers.
Besides the cold start, it's nice and quiet under 2,500 RPMs without any drone what-so-ever. When you mash the throttle, it screams.

Heres a quick clip. Warming up before dyno pulls. AP headers, 2nd cat delete, res delete with X pipe and muffler valves

Listen to Chris' dyno video... the exhaust tone is less throaty with his X-pipe installed. It eliminates that low frequency rumble that is characteristic to AMG V8's.

I'm actually heading to Cape Town for vacation in December. Looking forward to it!

Cape Town is a beautiful place. I'm sure you will have an awesome time when you are here.
Give me a shout, and we can grab a beer or something. Maybe go to the strip to watch some racing.

Honestly all these cars sound great! I talked to a mb shop that was referred to me but they are so expensive.
1250-1375 10-11 hours labor + tax just to install bolt on headers so custom cats put in will probably charge me more than the car is worth.
They highly recommend to run cats because I will have smog issues also.

For those who are saying we don't know what were talking about, you have the X pipe and it doesnt change the sound, etc: you can search these forums for X vs H pipe and these characteristics are pretty well documented:
H Pipe: More low-mid end torque.
X Pipe: More high end torque, probably slight HP gains, but changes/muffles/smooths out the AMG roar.
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...pe-x-pipe.html
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...-w-x-pipe.html
There are many more threads. A lot of people did the X Pipe and reported that they werent happy with the sound and reverted to stock or put in an H Pipe instead. Something like sound is subjective and what may sound good to BLKROKT, either due to bias or personal preference, may not be common opinion.
I found this post quite helpful in explaining:
your current reso that you have in place, the one that actually produces that AMG bark has a little secret......IT IS AN H-PIPE ALREADY!!!!!!...not a "semi h-pipe, but a full on balance tube that connects the two chambers together... if you x-pipe the secondaries it will totally change the sound of the exhaust due to the fact that unlike an H-pipe(which works to BALANCE out the exhaust pulses) an X-pipe produces audible CANCELLATION as it is merging the exhaust streams against each other. I have run about every conceivable scenario on the c63 exhaust system and without question the best configuration i have found is secondary cat delete, leave reso in place....but as that was not quite the volume that i wanted i also have deleted the back boxes which to me sounds PERFECT!!!....the only caveat to this is that you will have to replace the tips as the ones on the factory back boxes you wont be able to reuse. not too quiet, not too loud until you are above around 3500rpm, wicked bark and spit on startup(ESPECIALLY cold start), and spits and pops just right on downshifts.
