Has anyone used these clear side markers?

I've got the "regular" clear ones but they look like they're getting hazy/yellow from the sun and one of them has a broken clip so I'm looking for replacements. Could do the same old ones with the silver/amber bulb but I saw these on eBay and thought they looked nicer.

Has anyone seen these in person or used them? Just curious.

Get the smoked clear from fishcake321 on eBay with the silver bulbs. Haven't had any problems with mine. These ones you posted are ugly IMO.

I've got nothing else on the car smoked so figure that would look funny. I've got that same style with the chrome bulb but in clear now. The previous owner put them on and they don't look like they're holding up well under the desert sun (car came out of Palmdale).

I think those look good, but the only thing that concerns me is that exposed resistor. Those get very hot.. hot enough to melt plastic and cause a fire.

These are the ones that I have. The same seller has an amber variant.

those side markers that OP posted, as I have read, do not actually look like that IRL. Its a small led on one side and the light doesnt flow fully through the entire bar, so theyre actually kinda ugly and cheap.

Thanks for that. I was hoping they'd work somewhat like the LED tubes in the front headlight housings and also the tail lights. Too good to be true I guess.

Yea, if they were like that (as they show it) they would look nice. Pretty unfortunate but what can ya do.

i just installed the fishcake ones on my c63.

its plug and play BUT i had to shave a little bit on the sides of the side marker so it would fit into the open hole.

it looks good tho.

I have them on my car. Fitment is fine and they look like the picture when lit up. Dont have night shots of my car with them on but here are a couple during the day. I'll try to get some pics when I get my car back from doing some warranty work.

I looked and cannot find the facelift smoked side markers from Fishcase321. Can you link them here?

The facelifted C63 still uses the prefacelift side markers.. That's why the 12-14 ones say they do not fit C63s.

Its only the regular non-AMG sedan/coupe that use the newer style.

I've seen white ones that might be the one's you're thinking of, they're more clear than these and you actually see the single LED...

You can try going down a different route... I skipped the whole clear/smoked marker ordeal and just wrapped the stock ones and removed the bulbs. Sure, I get the annoying message when I start the car. But nothing a quick "OK" button can't fix lol. And IMO, I think it looks ALOT better than aftermarket side markers. This is how it looks on mine

you can use resistors

Interestingly enough in Europe I thought that without the side markers, there was just something...missing..lol.

I've been looking into this. Would you--or anyone for that matter, know what rated resistor to use?
