C63 Amg extended warranty?
I'm about to purchase an '08 mercedes with about 88,000 miles and was wanting to purchase an extended warranty as was wondering if it's still possible to do so?
Mainly wanting to purchase one for the headbolt issue as I am not wanting to spend 3000$+ on repairing it, but also for any future motor problems as well.
What would be my best option, and what price would I be looking at? This would be my first vehicle purchase where I would actually want a warranty on, so I'm curious on if it's possible, and if so, how much?

There was original and extended warranty on the vehicle already, but it is no longer under warranty

I have Fidelity Platium warranty but purchased it while car was under factory warranty for $3200 4 years to 100,000 miles.
You might be hard pressed to get a good warranty deal with your mileage and age. If you do it will probably be north of $4,000 for 2 years of coverage.

Like I said, mainly just want the headbolts replaced under warranty along with other smaller problems that may arise. So looking for the most expensive and longest warranty isn't really a necessity for me right now. Just something to have for a while and just send it in for the repair as soon as it's needed, or just do it ahead of time.

Ah gotcha. Yeah, I'm thinking it'll be super hard, and if it isn't, then it'll be super expensive.

The warranty will cost you about the same as it is to replace the headbolts.. unless you have other problems with the car that are covered you may just be breaking even.. you would have to make sure that the headbolt issue is covered by that particular warranty... I have seen some that exclude it.

I have had two minor repairs with my car totaling 1/2 my warranty cost. Note, Fidelity platinum does cover head bolts.
The cost is going to be expensive for warranty therefore, just go ahead and spend money on headbolts instead.

How did you guys apply for coverage? I see on the fidelity site they have a phone number but its closed now. Did you buy the coverage directly from fidelity or somewhere else like through the dealer?

I got mine from MB dealership. Try both and shop around they have markups.

Have you thought of using the money you had budgeted to spend on an extended warranty and putting this into your purchase kitty to buy a more recent example, perhaps one that has had the HB done already, or maybe a post 2010 model?

Can you guys with the warranty post what you paid and what coverage you have? So others like myself have a good idea what the pricing should be when we start to shop around

Hi, just would like to askif they do honor it at MB dealership for any service and repair? Have you had any experience with them? My extended warranty from and be USA will expire on November of this year and I'm planning to purchase on one and I called my dealer and mentioned AAA extended warranty service is one of the good ones that would deal with AMG vehicles.
