It might be your clothing or whatever you keep your keys in.

I have a set of shorts that makes it difficult to use the push to start sometimes. Same set of shorts, only time i have issues. I just take the key out of the shorts and it works.

Do you have a second fob? Try it with the one you are having trouble with in the house at least 30 ft from the car.

2013 car battery is about 4 years old, which is about as long as it is likely to last. If the car won't start with push-to-start or fob, I'd get that battery checked.
