Bosch O2 vs oem amg branded

I don't know specifically on the AMG ones but I have a 335i also and all the BMW guys just do the Bosch equivalents and they are half the price and work fine, so guessing it would be fine on the C63 also to use a Bosch equivalent.

I just bought the Bosch ones they say in the discription they are oe replacement for the 0035427018 that the c63 uses.
They look identical also, but with no Mercedes branding on them.

It's crazy we are talking 104 shipped for the Bosch or like 289 eBay China oem or 350 at the dealership.

I got my Bosch ones from O'Reilly. They come with a no questuons asked one year (I think) warranty. I fouled them in 6k miles due to the car running rich (MAF issue I had) and they gave me new ones free. Car works great with them and I think most people use Bosch if they are smart instead of the OEM. I think I read somewhere that the OEM are Bosch anyways.

I fitted Bosch replacements a 2-3 weeks back...no complaints over here. The length of the cable was a lot shorter than the one I had originally, but I'm guessing it's just a W212 - W204 difference as the sensor i bought was pitched as a W204 sensor.

I bought all 4 OEM ones.
It is not possible to figure out whether Mercedes had requirements to Bosch in this case, but I have heard of the manufacturer of a part selling both to the Manufacturer and direct and the direct product not being at the same standard as the one supplied to the manufacturer.
You guys are not trusting Mercedes, thinking that they are cashing in by branding only. A very possible situation.
It is also possible that Bosch is cashing in by selling a sub-standard that they describe as "equivalent".
Or both cases can happen at the same time, to an extent (by example, there are differences, but cable length only, due the Bosch being not so customized)
But in case of the oxygen sensors, you're better off erring on the expensive side.
Here's an example of situation:
Looking at the STAR, they have a test where you can see the lambda graphed on the same screen for all 4 sensors. So you idle it then give it gas.
Ideally, all 4 have matching lag. But if they don't, then that means that one side of the engine will be laggier than the other, an imbalance.
Maybe for cars that have 2 sides (each oxygen sensor affects one group of cylinders), Mercedes mandated to Bosch that the differences between two sensors of the same part number be below a threshold.
Bosch themselves doesn't care and sells you a sensor that is ... ok,,, for the V8 with two primary sensors, but is good for the one primary sensor cars

I ended up buying 2 sensors.my car is running fine but just doing maintenance and was under the car anyways.
I'll report back how they run in a few days but didn't Bosch invent the O2 sensor? I would think they are better than any other non branded ones

Bosch makes the sensors for MB. I have replaced all my o2 sensors with Bosch branded o2 sensors and they work like own. It was a direct plug and play.
