I currently own a 2008 C63, use to have an 09 SL63 and 14 E63s.

The w204 C63 is a far better handling and comfort in my opinion. The SL63 is a dog, it's sooooooo heavy and handles like poo with grandpa seats to boot. SL63's are also a maintenance nightmare with all the interior gadgets, convertible top and airmatic suspension.

A friend has a 08 SL500 and has already replaced hydraulic motors for the top--4 of them!

A 13 C63 has no headbolt issues.

If its a 2009 63 it may have the headbolt issue. No way to know if it will or not. ALL 2009s are possibles.

Never been a fan of the SL63. Especially not the outgoing pre-facelift one... front end is plain fugly.

Good choice. The facelift ones are much better IMHO.

I disagree, pre-facelift c63 is where it's at. Half the price and a way sexier front end. Worst case scenario headbolt replacement job is pennies compared to buying a facelift model. Add facelift taillights and rear bumper to a pre-facelift and you have the best of everything.

Looks wise I would agree with you. I have had an 08, an 09 with FL taillights as you mention, and now a 12.

FL definitely has a nicer interior and better transmission though.
Still miss the 09, regardless. It just looked so badass.

Except the interior is ugly.

Everything except the dash, nav, and steering wheel is identical on the interior between the pre-FL and FL... But I do agree the stock pre-FL steering wheel is ugly.

Dash and wheel are a big part of interior...
