Disappointed at the 1/4 mile
I have a stock c63 2013 performance package. I went to the track last weekend and could only run a 12.8 at 113 best. I did 4 runs in total, all trapping at 113mph. I felt it was a bit low. Track altitude 600 feet. Horrible 2.2-2.3 60 foot times.
only mod is charcoal delete and new afe pro dry filters.
I was expecting a higher trap speed even with the bad 60ft times.
Any thoughts?

I used to race my tuned 335i and 5.0 mustang, so I have a bit of track experience, but not a whole lot.
My main concern was the low trap speed which is not influenced too much by the ET. I'm just thinking that I'm down on power...

24 celcius. I uses sport mode traction control on S+. I tried to ease into the throttle, but not enough. Car was shaking a bit and never got a proper launch. I have new 265 Michelin on the rear. All seasons, but I know it was my error and not the tires.

Was the car revving to 7k? Everytime I tried s and s+ my car would short shift gears

To be honest I didn't pay attention to the shift rpm points. I just figured the transmission would shift at 7200 if I buried the pedal.

Drag radials and you will be a lot happier with your times 2.2 and 2.3 60s is bad. That's your time loss there. Also with weather conditions you want to look at your density altitude that also takes into account your elevation. There is a good calculator on drag times.com that you can pull up your track you were at the day and time. It will give you everything you need weather wise for that day. Add in your elevation and hit calculate. Gives you your da and your corrected time if conditions where perfect.

I spoke with Eurocharged today and I'm thinking about the v7 tune on the dyno. This should give me a baseline reading to see if I fall in line with typical P31 C63's.
They tune/dyno about 5/week, so I should know where my power sits in relation to the other cars they tune.
I bought the car used with 85k. Seems to run perfect. I went to the track with fresh oil and brand new AFE pro dry filters.

I know the all seasons aren't the best. I think traction control was interfering with my launch and I know I can do better with practice. My worry was the trap speed as I know this is typically fairly consistent and an indication of my horsepower.

I put it on Sport mode. One hit on the traction control button. I will try TC off on my next trip.
I read some post's about launching and saw many users doing it this way for the best launch. I didn't want to smoke the tires and ruin a run, but was hoping to feather the throttle enough to keep the traction control from interfering. I need some practice for sure with this car!
I would have been happy with a mid 12 at 115. The power just wasn't there to get that trap speed.
I know dedicated summer tires or drag radials are better for ET. I like to run it the way I drive it on the street. No race gas, weight savings or messing with tire pressure.

It doesn't if you have traction control on and it's just constantly cutting power and preventing the whee spin then reaccelerating and re spinning just shortening the track...
but yeah if the tires are spinning it generally will increase trap speeds as the engine is in the upper power band the entire time and once the tires grip you launch harder then say if you had perfect grip and were accelerating from the lower corresponding rpm if the tires were not losing traction

You're spinning a lot in lower gears with a 60ft like that, all seasons can be the problem, or just those tires in particular. The run below was done with worn/negative camber wear all seasons, however..

Michelin pilot as3+ tires brand new. I know I could cut down to a 2.0 60ft on these tires with practice. I literally felt traction control jumping in. You can see my mph was pretty much the same though.

Your gaining speed when your spinning but you lose time due to loss of traction.
