Does it bolt on directly to factory or do we need to get midpipes

Being that the firing order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8, why are the runners paired asymmetric (why are the Y on one side paired one way and the other different), since they can't directly correlate as the sequence obviously jumps across banks.
Is there some sort of correlation?

You need to also purchase mid pipes for the setup to be bolt on without modification.
