Lifters on P31 Package Engine

I used to work in parts at one point. Here's what I just thought of and this is in respect to these tappets, but also to the head bolts:
The construction of a parts database, which includes the part numbers for spares, has nothing to do with what happened at the factory.
In this database, they give you not information of what they did at the factory, but what you need in order to correctly repair your car. They would only indirectly reference when they started to change the head bolts. More simple, they would just reference the new bolts for everyone, that's all the parts guy needs to know, to do his job.
Now, as far as if the bolts were substituted, then yes, there would be a new part number and old one. But the switchover date would not necessarily reflect what they did at the factory. Because the parts guy would order the new one no matter what. So the date that is in there is only relevant as administrative knowledge that the parts were changed. No need for accuracy of date there.
Ok, in sum, let's see what they ACTUALLY say about the head bolts in the parts software:

The forum doesn't let me edit anymore, so here's new content.

EDIT: Hey, what was I reading in the guide to the bolt by bolt, something with putting sealant around the heads of the bolts, so coolant doesn't leak from under them?
well, did you know that there's a N000000 006528 "Cap, to lock cooling water bores" "optional with N 000000 004054" ?
Ok here goes:
For my car, a 2010, the part number is:
A 156 016 06 69
Ok, there's a great number of notes here
the new part number is 156 016 07 69
Big note : The old part number must no longer be installed. No date. But this is for my vin number. Let's see by the model.

Did you guys know that the heads themselves were substituted, new head part number? they come with valves. These replacements were for the early cars, but then the part numbers continued to change, my 2010 has a different part number for the heads. In other words, for my car, if I buy heads, I get the same ones, but for the early cars, if you buy heads, they want to fix something, so they don't give you the same ones.
ok back to headbolts: by the model same thing, old and new part number, no date. So then the checking of the bolts is not done via part software. Must be then a TSB and checking of the engine number.
Ok, I'm done with this.

How can I understand whether my car has the updated SLS lifters? I have a facelift performance package c63 with the updated headbolts. The car is a 2011. Did the update for the lifters happen together with the headbolt update?

W204 C63 Coupe, W166 ML350 BlueTEC, 928GT, C5 Z06 & IS300 race cars, EQE 4Matic+ on order
On a 2011 MY, probably not as the engine would have likely been built in late 2010 or early 2011. Only way to know for sure what lifters went in it is to pull the data card from Germany.

I had the shop foreman pull the data card on mine at the dealership where I bought the car and had the 44O kit installed eight years ago. I unfortunately don't know of any other way - it would need to be requested by someone who has access to the same.
And, there's some updated information on the lifters (buckets) in this thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ml#post8779971. It would seem that A FEW NON-P31 facelift cars (early 2012) also shipped with the old style buckets, but all of the 2012 P31 cars (and later non-P31 cars) have them. In other words, once the SLS lifters became available, it looks like they used up whatever old style lifters they had left over for the non-performance models until they ran out sometime in late 2011 or 2012.
