Question about overall “lowering” effect. I saw Jim said about 6mm lower after install, which means everything is lower that hangs off the engine. Maybe a stupid question but I just got done installing the Ultra Racing cross brace and for whatever reason on the right side it makes the tiniest little kiss on the cat which is a stock cat, no headers. I’m going to see if it’s driveable
as such. Cold start transmitting all vibrations from cat to cross bar and to chassis like a tuning fork. Is it safe to assume that if I add the mounts, this is will exacerbate the clearance issue to the cross brace? Thanks. Just wanting to understand how mods may impact each other.
Cheers.
Excellent question. I'm not aware of anyone that has installed the mounts with the ultra racing cross brace. It would come down to how collapsed your current mounts are. If they are full new height (they usually aren't) and they are already touching then I wouldn't go shorter. If they are collapsed then new mounts would increase the gap.

The Ultra underbody braces are going to be fine. No rubbing here. My OE mounts were in good shape.
Sorry..... just re-reading your post. You said it’s already rubbing? This is all going to depend on the shape of your existing mounts. The ECE amounts lowered my engine ~6mm and my OEM mounts looked fine (I think Ahmad said to expect about a 10mm drop so that may mean that my OEM mounts were 4mm deflated already). If your OEM mounts are shot, and they may be since your cats are rubbing on the Ultra bar, then the ECE mounts may even raise your engine. Too many variables to guess which way it’s going to go for your car.
Must be a right side mount going bad. I was able to find some adjustability in the bar and got it off the cat. See comparisons below. Drives great now. But under hard acceleration the mount must be moving enough to allow the cat to touch the bar given the small clearance because vibration returns. It’s my best laypersons assessment. So...I must need new mounts am I right?!?!
Left Side cat/bat clearance good. Bar clearance BaR clearance right
Yep, I'm the loser on MBWorld on NYE. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Got my mounts installed today with the Track poly. JFC!! Wow. Huge difference. So both my mounts were in fact bad and had collapsed so that's why cats were hitting my Ultra Racing bar. Bonus, I now have massage seats. Car shakes and vibrates just at idle. Step on it and it's all good. I can't believe how much better my car is now with these in. Seriously, anyone with maybe 60k or more miles on OE mounts, you NEED these. I'm that impressed. Awesome. Time will tell if I can live with the race poly. Short commute so I'm thinking yes. Very excited. Had to post. Can't wait to get em on track. Car feels very connected and solid now. Thanks East Coast Euro. And thanks to Paul at CK Auto in Santa Rosa for the install.

Glad you are happy with the mounts! The race poly does vibrate more than the street poly. One of the advantages of these mounts is you can swap out the poly if you want to
would you still recommend the 40A? I'm planning to put a supercharger soon.
How much for the set?
Thank you soo much ECE for this creation
It depends on how you feel about vibration. The race poly will vibrate more than street but should also last longer. The engine mounts are $465 shipped in the USA.
Just installed mine which were sitting out for a while. Absolutely brilliant mounts....car feels planted, noticeably more responsive and smooth shifts with minimal lag. Workmanship was great. I am running the 40a street set. Only very slight vibration at idle otherwise an excellent upgrade and well worth the investment. My stock mounts were perfect and had no issues.
One issue that occurred after install was heavy vibrations and rattles initially. Ahmad was great at providing input to resolve it. My custom IPE center section had to be adjusted several times to compensate for the slightly lower engine height. Helped slightly but didn’t fix the issue. In the end we loosened the cat bolts, center section bolts to relieve tension, then buttoned it up. No more vibrations.
