Exclamation HMS-Tuning Rear Flares (Q/A)

I am getting a few requests for the HMS-Tuning C63 rear fender flares in (FRP), to make it happen as always - I need 7 people interested. I need to purchase a 6 month Vendor account to start this. The last Group Buy didn't work out and an opportunity was lost for a few members. This is time I want to make sure everyone is on board so we can get it going.

This for all W204 coupes and sedans (C63 Black Series inner fender liner included)
Application is done by trimming the factory metal fenders and you have 2 options. One option is using 3M/Sikaflex Automotive adhesive as HMS recommends for track/circuit use. Second option is seam-less molding.

If you have any other questions about it. Please ask away and remember this is not an official sales thread ; just for discussion and sharing information/pictures.

No deadline as of yet. It will be provided once enough members are interested enough to start the Official Group Buy (Total of 7 sets)

Hey guys,

Everything is the same from last years offering. I cannot post a price for under a non-vendor account.
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ml#post7002674

Once you have decided to purchase. I will unlock the ***Official HMS Group Buy*** thread under my vendor account with all the details of each members model year/etc as it is the official sales thread. Please keep in mind that there is still a domestic UPS Ground shipping charge from my warehouse to your door step.

If you have any questions about fitment, installation. Please post them here and I can assist you or even some HMS equipped members will chime in. Thank you!

Any chance they would add the CFRP version in to the group buy? Am still not able to find an installer with 100% confidence on painting Fiberglass parts + Magno Paint Match

That's unfortunate. Take your time to research and find another installer that can match the factory Magno finish. If not, Carbon is always available.

What type of wheel offsets are people running with these and what tire set ups? Can you run 305s or 315s?

I've been looking at Forgestar CF10s in particular.

You can but just keep in mind that you want to keep the tire size bias between the front and rear as balanced as possible. HMS-Tuning uses 19x8.5 +35 255/35 for the front and a 19x10 285/30 rear on their HMS-RS700 supercharged C63.

For 305+, the wheel width should be increased to 19x11 and the target offset should be close to +45.

Yes, you can run 305's as I'm currently running them on a 19x11. I'm moving down to 295, however.

I am running a 305 as well on a 20x11 ET +15. With a straight edge on the lips of my wheels they are flush with the outside of the flare. My rear camber is turned down to 1* 30'.

How do you work out the correct balance then? I am guessing it is because you dont want to effect the speedo reading over or under.

Since there are so many different types of wheel/tire set ups (street, circuit, drag). That choice is up to the end user but I use this simple tool to do any tire size calculations.

https://tiresize.com/calculator/

Usually a specific tire manufacturer will list all the technical data for each type, size tire they offer (overall diameter, width and approved wheel size). You can always cross reference the data to be 100% accurate.

Do you know what is a good tolerance in mph then to allow for eg Standard rear tyre 255/30/19 if I decided to go for something like a 19x11 or 19x12 with a 295/30 or 305/30 it said on another site the mph would be like 3mph over at 60mph.

Also how does it effect the car not going wider at the front if you had a 245/35/19 with the wide rear?

The plan for me is to get the front fenders done slighly to run a 19x9.5 with a 265/35/19 then on the rear at minimum run a 19x11.5 with 295/30 or more but I see people say the rolling radius has to be even between the front and rear?

Anyone here that has done the seamless installation that can tell me about what it costs?

Why does HMS reccomended the adhesive over the seamless install, or am I reading it wrong?

I paid $2500 for installation. See pics on my build thread.

From some of the pictures i have seen, it seems there are two version of this flare, one being more flare than the other.
