Looking to purchase a 2015 c63 AMG 507 coupe...newbie...what to look for?
Called the local dealership and spoke with a service agent. He seemed to think there were no scheduled interval service marks, like a 10k or a 20k, only a 30k on rear dif and transmission fluids.
Is that accurate?
Also, he ran the VIN and the car has the open recall on the steering column ground yet to be serviced - should I be concerned?
Lastly, I've never seen one in the flesh - is the 507 that "special" in comparison to the standard c63 AMG? The one I am looking at was well out of my range, but based on youtube videos, the 507 version seems like a "special" car.
Fingers crossed, thanks for the help!

*-You might think 'hey, I have a few months left to get it to a dealership and get stuff fixed before the warranty expires', when it already has.
Next, WHERE was the car registered? What city and what state AND WHEN. Why is this important? Hurricaine Sandy (NY, NJ Nov 2012), Hurricaine Irma, Hurricaine Harvey... see where this is going? Pay attention.
Also figure you're gonna drop $ for a new set of tires and possibly brake pads and possibly fluid changes to 'baseline' the car. I did this on pre-owned cars and SUV's. Just a habit I got into. I go through the vehicle and make a list: Must Haves, Should Haves and Nice To Haves. Prioritize and knock them down as you go. It will pay dividends.
One last thing: take a look inside the back edges of the rear fender wells. Look for caked-on rubber from burn-outs, drifting, etc. It shows signs of abuse.
Do not make an emotional decision in buying this car. Think with the head between your ears before you buy. If it doesn't feel good, walk away.
Good luck.

Service guy is obviously clueless about anything Mercedes if he doesn't think there is a service plan - all mercedes products are services every 10k miles or one a year. If it is low milage it would have been serviced once a year. If it has the limited slip diff (option 471) I think it called for a low mileage service at like 2k miles maybe, can't remember and then every 4 years or 40k miles after that. Engine oil every 10k or year, transmission is every 4 years or 40k I believe https://www.mbusa.com/vcm/MB/Digital...ce-Booklet.pdf
That open recall is no big deal and all them need it - had mine done in January/February when I bought mine, just adding a ground wire as the airbag could deploy accidentally especially in humid climates - takes like an hour.
Otherwise like above, just check the car over carefully, check the history and make sure nothing weird or not explained is going on.

I made a soft offer - meaning nothing too low to be disrespectful, but closer to his number giving him something to think about if he wants the cash. He thinks he might put it up on BaT...problem there is I think it will bring my number and him a lot of frustration...we shall see.
Either way, I'm all in on a C63 AMG, just need to find the right one if it's not this one.
