I figured a thread for people to post their order details and any useful information might be good.

I got back from the dealer today and had to change my order due to the system rejecting options. The 320 Multimedia Package is being rejected by the order system due to the CD changer supplier being impacted by the earthquake in Japan.

My "third decade" build slot in August would not accept my order with the P31 AMG Development Pack. The dealer had no info if there was problems with the P31 pack or what the reason was. The order would go through without it for that build date but I wanted the pack so the order is in the system and I have to wait for a build date that will accept the P31 package.

I had picked the Steel Grey but since it was discontinued I went for the 183 Magnetite Black.

Is Diamond White available again? Any longer wait/delevery if you get the Black designo roof?

Why didn't you order the Appointments in Black designo leather? Do you know (if) how much time longer for the wait if you ordered it?

Apppointments cannot be ordered with designo, it's not an option (as far as i know?).
Depending on the production facility (if i understood correctly) diamond white is available. Mine will be produced in Bremen (which is where i happen to be atm btw ), and it should be available here.

If there is a code for extended leather, please give it :P

Is there a longer wait if you add the Black designo leather roof???


Appointments in Black designo leather (top section of the dashboard, beltline section of doors and centre console armrest) code is E06 which I found it in the european (DE and UK) model brochures.

Bremen?! I thought I was told the C63s are produced at the AMG facility (Affalterbach or somewhere?) and different place than the regular C Class because of the wheelbase...??? Correct me if I'm wrong.

You must post pics of your new C63 as soon as you get the car and tell us the difference compared the pre-facelift C63!!!

I can't find the E09 in any brochure. Are you sure it's not the old one you're looking at?

And i think the roof will be made of anthrasite and not leather.

My original order did have 320 but then two weeks later we double checked it and it had been removed.

I was told 320 Multimedia Package is no more - S32 COMAND Launch Package is the new navigation package. This is whats in the new E class I am told.

I keep hearing different reasons why the 320 Multimedia Package is not currently available...

Thanks Enochroot, yours looks good too! You should come up to Laguna for a track day sometime when we get them. That is encouraging that your order was picked up by the factory, I was concerned that there may be issues with the P31 package. Maybe it is just that there are limited builders that can make those engines and you have to wait for a production slot with one of them.

Do you know what's in the 515 Media Interface Plus package? My dealer struggled with the switch from the 320 to S32 media packages and I want to make sure I'm not missing something important.

Read this for the launch package info. The S32 seems to have less compare to 320. And 515 MIP is an add on box for COMAND system to get more media support for iPod and stuff.

CaliSun, for sure! That will be a blast - my order is for the sedan btw, but P31 builds shouldn't differ between sedans and coupes.

Who knows how the factory is slotting the builds of 2012 coupes and sedans, I put my order in way back on 03-17-2011 and received a firm production date from the factory the next day. But we had to modify the order twice now because they keep changing the options on us.

Thank you both for the replies and info on the MIP. The only feature that lis mentioned on that that I might be interested in would be the bluetooth audio streaming but when I asked my dealer he had said that was in the COMMAND Launch pack . It looks like the MIP is a pug in anyway and available for order at anytime so I can wait and see.

The 320 multimedia package came with 810 harman/kardon Sound System.

The S32 does not.

It looks like we are not able to order the 810 sound system at the moment.

I wonder how Jycke was able to get option 810 harman/kardon Sound System, it's not available in the ordering system here in the US.

Anyone know more about this?

Yeah the MIP is pretty nice, but I am still a little confuse as what the difference between the MIP and the UMI? Is the UMI just for non-COMAND head units?

Is that even a color option then? I knew it wasn't the Obsidian Black so I assumed it was the Magnetite since that seemed like the only two blacks that were available.

I believe that car is C63 AMG Coupe Edition 1 Package (MEX), which has all the options (at least for Canadian model) and only comes in designo MAGNO Night Black Paintwork and designo Nappa Single Tone Black leather. You also can see the stitching color is different.

I have a 2011 that I managed to get with the 810 H/K without buying the multimedia package. It was NOT listed in the configurator at the dealer. The dealer had to make several calls to MB USA until he found someone that could alter the order. My advice is to get your dealer to call MB USA until he finds someone who can help.

I'll have an order of my own to post shortly; I have a July build date for a sedan and am going back and forth between iridium silver and magnetite black. I wanted the no-longer-available steel gray and those are my back ups, but need to make a decision soon. Oh the tyranny of having options.

Magnetite is darker than the old steel and without the blue hue - very nice IMO if you are happy with a dark car that will sometimes look black.

I was deciding between palladium/steel and since they discontinued steel it made it easy

I was considering it but I realized a matte black car would be a horrible decision for winter time
