O2 sensor failure after complete ipe install

I got an engine failure warning after installing a complete ipe exhaust system.

Its one of the O2 sensor that fails (or at least that's what the error code says).

My mechanic already changed one of the O2 sensors while installing the exhaust, as the same error occurred during installation.

Is it a faulty error code, and if so what can be done to delete it permanently ?

Your mechanic can monitor that sensor through a live graph, using xentry, vs the sensor on the other side. If the graph looks symmetric, maybe the code is not warranted. If not, there's something wrong with your exhaust, maybe it leaks.

After deleting the error code from this morning the 4 sensors were monitored in Xentry, and they looked very symmetric in the values, and all in working order.

Could the problem be, that all 4 sensors are placed before the 2 sportscats, and therefore makes false/wrong values to the computer ?

If the sensors work properly, is there a way to permanently delete the error code ?

None of the codes are cathalitic efficiency, correct?
If not then the rear sensors could be ok for now. But they should be moved behind the converters.
This car is of a newer generation, so even with cars that ran in open loop at load, the secondary converters could not just throw efficiency codes but also change fueling trims.
So with this car being in closed loop, the secondaries surely have even more tasks, so they need to be downstream, where they belong.
As far as the primary sensors, I know from looking at a tuning wideband vs OEM, that a sensor downstream of the converter resounds with a delay. The magnitude of the reading is not affected that much but by overlaying the graph of the two, the peaks were clearly spaced.
Now with your situation, it will respond faster than expected, but this is why a tune is for.

I would not cancel any of the oxygen sensors, neither in software not in mechanical.

Thanks, i'm not an expert on the subject, so I thought that ipe made a product that is plug and play ready, and that the 4 O2 sensors were placed correctly in front of the cats in the predrilled holes.

Now I understand that you have to be an engineer to install the exhaust.

This leaves me with a car not working properly, and with no options to solve the problem.

I will never buy any non original parts again. It's not worth the worry.

wait, is your car tuned or not? if not, theres your problem. basically with your O2 sensors BEFORE any cats, your car thinks it's catless.

And just confirm that tune is for catless. because the car can still be tuned but be for an emissions compliant car.

if primary sensors...do not add a spacer. your sensor is probably failing. one of mine just did and they're only 2 years old. you need your primary sensors working or you could cause damage to your engine.

if secondary sensors...your tune should write them out if you are without catalytic.

ya...for my bank1s1 sensor it would peg full lean, then start working...then randomly peg full lean and work again. anytime i reset the codes it would work perfect for x number of cycles. every time i reset the code it would output perfectly.

through sheer laziness had my local shop replace the sensor along with other work and haven't had a problem since...OEM sensors are 300+ dollars when the same exact part is only 127 dollars online. sucks...but at least my car is back on the road.
