C63 noise on acceleration
had lifters and camshafts replaced which has stopped it mostly. Still does it cold but goes away once up to temp.
i read somewhere that it getting the rpm over 2500-3000 for a bit will help to build pressure and this seems to work for me. When the motor is off some of the valves will be in the open position which would allow for the oil to drain out the lifter and air to come in which explains why it makes that noise when it’s cold. Those are my thoughts on it anyway
Im hearing the same or similar sound. 2014 507 sedan, 123,000kms. It only happens when driving, typically low speed, only when on throttle and typically gets a little quieter as the car warms up. I've tried slowly revving it up in the driveway but I can't hear it in Park or Neutral. Got me wondering if its transmission related.
I only picked it up a couple weeks ago but in that time, I have changed oil, trans and diff fluid, plugs, coils and filters. None of these services have made a difference.
Any thoughts?

These engines have hydraulic lifters which get air in them and the noise you're probably hearing is the sound of the lifters bouncing around due to the air pocket.
The internet suggests that this is a normal thing for engines with hydraulic lifters. Apparently changing oil types can help, can't remember which exactly something like semi synthetic vs full synthetic.

I want to thank you all for your assistance in chiming in. I am going to top up the oil. I can't see it missing more than a quart. If I am able to get a better video I will upload,
I have a Huawei p20 pro and when I listen to it on my phone I am able to hear it, but thats probably because I know what to listen to

Sounds like top end to me but that's what I thought the time it turned out to be a loose exhaust clamp... until I got out of the car and listened with the hood open I had no idea.
did you ever fix this?
someone out there might have the answer, here is video of mine
