Vin Number Help. Desperately needed!
Guys I am in Taiwan and currently looking at a White 2014 C63 Coupe (20,000km, No P30/31).
The used car dealer gave me the vin number WDD2043771G193947
He told me that its a Taiwan car, but my friend told me that this vin number is impossible to be a Taiwan car due to the G being present within the VIN.
Carfax doesnt even have this VIN number.
Can anybody tell me something about this VIN or where I can check or how to decode it? If I can atleast know what country this car is from then I can maybe look up some sort of carfax equivalent.

Is it possible for somebody to create a fake VIN to fool the decoder into displaying the information the seller wants to display?
Such as the car not being ordered by Taiwan but the seller wants to sell it as that when it was actually ordered in Europe?

Guys I hate to sound like a broken record but....
So there is no way this car is not from Taiwan then?
Because my friend who works at the dealership swears this cars vin does not appear in their system and every car originally intended for Taiwan would definitely appear on it since they are the SOLE distributor. So any authorized dealership in Taiwan would still be getting their cars from them. I trust this friend but I also trust this website datamb.com...
So I am trying my hardest to reconcile between the two.
Is it possible for a VIN to be fabricated for the purpose of displaying false information? Such the country that ordered the car?

I have a conclusion:
- My Benz guy checked the order number on datamb associated with that VIN and confirmed it is indeed a Taiwan Car but from a distributor which is no longer a distributor. So that explains why the Vin was missing from the larger system.
- The seller also lied (or was lied to by the original owner) to me and told me with writing that it was from the larger distributor (which my friend works for and confirmed the VIN was not sold by them).
- I cant get a coupe. My gf disapproves. Has to be an sedan or wagon. So I guess that’s that.
Thank you for all of your help guys!

I know this isn’t a dating site but IMHO you are in for a rough life if you’re letting a chick dictate what car you can drive before you are even married... keep your *****, buy the coupe, ditch the girl... ;-)
