Hello everyone, I own a 2013 C63 AMG Sedan. My front brake pads and calipers are needed to be placed according to the dealership and they ask for insane money. So I am wondering has anyone changed his/her front brake pads&calipers outside of the dealership? If so how to make sure the parts are legit? Thanks a lot.

I had my calipers replaced about a month ago, but it was under warranty due to the paint flaking off of them.

It doesn't look like you are in need of an emergency repair. 4mm thickness is getting pretty close, and most sources suggest that 3mm is the minimum for normal street use. You started with about 12mm and used of 8mm over 31,500 miles, so you should have about 4 thousand miles left on them. It's perfectly fine to wait until the wear sensors get exposed and you get a warning on the dash.
If you have basic mechanical skills and tools, and take the time to study a couple youtube videos, you should be able to easily do this yourself.
Side issue - OEM brake pads are good stuff but there are lots of options for brake pads. Don't go cheap - they are important. Consider this an opportunity to get a pad that's less dusty than the OEM ones.

If you are gong to keep the car longer than the next 3-6 months and since you're going to need to pull the calipers to change the pads, you really need to throw on a new pair of rotors and not have to worry about it for quite some time. As far as pads, I am a very big fan of EBC Red Stuff. I have three qualifiers for pads: stop good cold, no noise and little-to-no dust. These meet all three. Just my 2 cents.

Some people prefer to pull calipers and replace rotors when they replace pads, as this gives the pads a nice smooth surface to seat against. However, I'm with Mort - unless the rotors have really deep grooves, my preference is to keep the rotors until they wear down close to the minimum allowed. Your rotors should still be OK based on your low mileage.

AMG rotors have a minimal thickness stamped on the rotors, unless your rotors have deep gouges and below their minimum thickness, I would just give them a good cleaning and change the pads.
But single piece rotors are cheap to replace, compared to the 2-piece rotors, why not change everything for peace of mind. I changed out my rotors and pads for just above $1000, and I have the 2-piece rotors on my 07 E63.
