Pre-Facelift LED Fog Bulbs in Stock Housing?
Has anyone put aftermarket LED fog bulbs in a stock fog housing? I tried to do this recently with H7 fog bulbs and realized I couldn't mount the bulbs to the housing. Is this possible at all or do I have to get an aftermarket housing too? As you can tell from the pictures below, the clips that came with the bulbs are smaller in diameter than the stock bulb holder. Is there a way around this?

It won't work I believe, even slim LEDs. I got dedicated fog light LEDs (no fan) so plug in like regular bulbs, but they weren't canbus. So now they're just sitting around.

Have you look at this option? https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...foglights.html

That's a great conversion to LED, but also one of the best conversion of the eyebrow position lights. What did you do there, to come up with such a uninterrupted bar of LED light? did you replace the sockets with a LED strip inside the headlights?

Same process as for reg w204s that'll give you an idea, at least
You still needed to code them though?

Actually found out for those specific fog lights I didn't have to do any coding to get them to work, direct plug and play

as far as coding, do you use offline Connect C3? does that work with W204?
I have C4 and other than coding can use Xentry fairly well. With C4 the only thing that I've seen is that MB Super Star, which I think it means you pay via a gateway for each online coding.
And you having those bulbs for 2 years is a huge record, as one of the better known vendors here offering a solution for those, from the customer feedback seems they last quite less than that. I even saw a posting that there's an electrical anomaly for those bulbs and that no LED will last for that lamp.

I think I've made them last for so long by changing the voltage sent to the bulbs down to the "maximum" of 12v instead of the default 13.2v. The philips bulbs also don't have any resistors built into each bulb, which seems to dramatically cut down on heat output. Same reason they won't work with default coding, no resistors = errors

Mine is a clone too and have Vediamo as well as Monaco. I'm a beginner in Vediamo and only got to the point of being able to display the info by a particular module. Where can I learn Vediamo, *******?
Can vediamo initialize the multiplexer properly, or does Xentry need to be started, in order for the mux to be properly initialized and then vediamo runs on the back of xentry?
