Best tire for my W204 C63 in 2019
I know there are a bunch for threads for best tires for drag/street/track etc. but all of them are dated. I would need your advice to know what tires would be the best for my use in today's time.
I own a W204 C63 making around 500whp (dont go crazy on this figure, I have a dyno plot to prove it but this thread is not for this purpose, please!)
I am running the 19 inch multi spoke wheels with 275/30/19 at the back and 245/35/19 in front. My is lowered on H&R so I can not go a size bigger.
I love taking my car to drag strip but I also enjoy the cornering capabilities of the car and might take the C63 to a autocross/track someday. C63 is not my daily driver either. Although I live in Michigan but I never drive my car in snow and rarely in below freezing temperatures. Could you please suggest me a tire for my use. Currently I am running ExtremeContact DW and putting down power to the road is quite a big concern for me.
I would highly appreciate any help that you guys can offer.
Thanks
Jay

What is the proper load rating for a C63 and why all the fuss about it? I always assumed that sport tires were all the same - learned something new today.
(no need for a reply... I've done the search. XL it seems is the designation I need to watch for. Thanks!)

The attached picture helped me compare. I might just not go to track that often that I would need a track oriented tire.

You're correct the 265/35/98Y would fit on the 9.5" rear. I didnt want to go down on tire width.

EDIT: Ok I just looked at these. 200TW and they come in more-or-less the right sizes (not for me, but...). Reviews found online say they’re closest in performance to the RE-71R (which probably means 2/3), but 1/2 the price. Bad news is the load ratings aren’t sufficient for our car on track. That’s a pass.

A very noisy tire that does not do well in the wet but withstands track use very well, was made for that.
They're popular with the Japanese track car crowd.
I didn't check to see if there's a suitable load rating for our cars.
