Got smoked by a porsche.... feelsbadman
911 carrera 4 s gts or something. Althought i had a passenger in the car and a bunch of junk from costco. He walked me from a roll twice.
Maybe I was in the wrong gear? I was around 4-5k in 3rd but wanted to start in 2nd gear. Car wouldnt let me downshift to second.
Was his car modded? I usually beat all the porsches except turbo s. Even out-dragged a stock gt3 once.
Already have LTH and tune. Any other cheap power mods?

Yeah, that is an amazing transmission.
I'm prepared to believe this for a 2WD, AWD I'd say the engine is under rated. And normally under rating doesn't make sense to me, from a corporate stand point.
Now, if the Porsche pulled on you in gear, then the speed of the shifts is not relevant.
From a roll, the AWD also doesn't help. The weight difference is clear, but it does get to a point in speed, where the weight difference doesn't matter that much anymore. Like for Tesla, a heavy car.
Traction control on your car maybe?
Here's why I say this:
All cars I ever heard of, use the front brake pads faster than the rear, call it design idiosyncrasy, but this is how it is.
Except since traction control the rears wear faster than fronts.
Which means that traction control is hard at work without the driver feeling it.
The balance in wear front to rear doesn't change in a car like mine, that spends most of its life at 30 MPH in some sort of traffic, just because I do 2-3 pulls a month. This has to mean that even at 30 MPH, the traction control still taps the rear brakes all the time. Probably to clean the turn lines, to give a feel of stability and who knows what else.
This means to me that dynoing a car like ours with traction control on, you won't get that 500 WHP number.
I also think that the heavier the car, the more intrusive the traction control program is.
And finally, that AMG tech at the dealer did tell me that most of the development work in software updates for our cars, was in traction control. Maybe they knew that this is where the cars were behind.

They are indeed. And that PDK, goddamnit.

Race em in dyno mode next time lol.
But yeah, that thing was FAST out of the box, I can only imagine w/ a few more PSI and some other minor bolt-ons.
