M156 Tuning
Anyone out there have any good experiences with getting custom tuning done on their Supercharged M156's? I am currently running a Weistec Stage 3 on my p31 car. Also has Long tubes, Mid/hi-flow cats / Xpipe - it has plenty of power, but I'd like to squeeze as much out of it as I can when I do 1/4 and 1/2 mile events.
Also toying with the idea of a water/meth set up, ice tank, MS109 and the smaller 60mm pulley.
Anyone have luck with similar set ups?
Thanks!

I recommend leaving the Weistec tune. Most tuners run the car more aggressive than Weistec and end up having it run too lean.
I recommend the 60mm pulley on the 3.0 liter. Also, definitely recommend and ice tank and a 50:50 mix of water/meth injection for cooling. Also a small blend of e85 in the tank will do wonders for timing and a bump in octane. I’d say I wouldn’t run more than e30-e40 blend which would be 5-7 gallons and the rest with 93 pump gas.
Also, look into FI Chillers. Another great cooling option.
With all these upgrades your car should be a consistent 650whp car pull after pull

If you want to run e85 you need a full fuel system upgrade
If you go with MS109 make sure its definitely a custom tune as you will get the full benefits

Thanks for the info. I've spent lots of timing researching, but unfortunately there are lots of conflicting opinions out there. There are a few guys in Australia running ET's in the 9's with the Stage 3/60mm pulley, 250cc/min water meth and the ice tank. They all claim you need MS109 to be safe with the higher boost levels from the smaller pulley, but some feedback points towards not needing additional tuning as its mostly just additional cooling and a bump in effective Octane.
WHP #'s claim to be 700-740, which if legit, would be very impressive for that car.

If you're in YYC, I'd love to meet up and check out your car sometime...
Hopefully you can find somewhere to do a custom tune, have you tried Davenport ?
Ever go to Euro Cars & Coffee @ the Cardel Center in Quarry Park on Tuesdays, between 6-8 pm ?
Cheers !

YOUR GENERIC KNOWLEDGE ABOUT BLOWN CARS DONT APPLY ON THIS PLATFORM.
60MM PULLEY SHOULD NOT BE RUN WITH ANYTHING BUT RACEGAS UNLESS YOU HAVE A FUEL SYSTEM UPGRADE PUMPS LINES INJECTORS ETC THAN YOU COULD RUN E.

I know plenty about this platform. I’ll be nice unlike BLK 🤣

I'm away lots for work, but I've been trying to make it to one of the Cars and Coffee events - hopefully soon.
Davenport does well at domestic stuff - Camaros, CTSV's, Hellcats etc. I don't think id want them trying to tune my car - just my own two cents, I'm not sure how much experience they have with the M156 and Weistec systems.
Eurocharged have done a number of cars, but the closest location is TO, and I'd ultimately like to get some Dyno tuning done, not just a ECU re-flash.

hello,
as time has passed I'm sure you may have already found your answer. if not I do want to let you know that we have tuned quite a few supercharged setups with only positive results. feel free to reach out for further information if you haven't already found a solution.
Thanks!
Barry
