C63 COUPE, 2012
Question C63 steering motor

Hey whats up guys.

I just recently bought a 2012 c63 coupe, and I've been loving it. However, I noticed couple days ago, when I turn on the car the steering wheel does not come down like it usually does. It is just stuck on the top like how it would be if the car was off. I try to manually lower it with the knob on the side of the wheel but it won't move up or down. It'll only go forward or back. However once I'm driving the car, I'll randomly press the steering wheel adjuster knob and it'll randomly work and lower the steering wheel. Can anyone help and fix this issue.

Thanks.

I had the exact same issue in my '14 sedan, once I brought it in for the airbag recall, it's working again

CarFax recall showed "Check electric steering column and rework if necessary" as issued from MB

All fixed up now

Thank guys.

Do you know if it's possible to turn off the comfort access in the car so it's doesn't raise up when I turn it off?

Yes, the instructions are in your owners manual.

Yes you can deactivate/activate the Easy Entry/Exit from the steering wheel controls. Arrow over or back to Settings then arrow up or down to Convenience press OK then arrow up or down to Easy Entry/Exit. Press OK when you have it set to the function you want.

Hahah. Thanks guys.
I was able to solve the issue on my own. Once I heard it can turned on and off it was pretty easy to find in the settings.
Should've just read the manual.
