Well looks like my fuel sending unit started leaking. Last week i started to smell fuel inside the car.
Decided to check out the fuel sending unit and sure enough there's gas coming out of what looks like to be a venting hose.
So the week before i was driving to work and forgot to get gas. I was super low on gas i'm pretty sure i sucked up sediment in the fuel tank and clogged something.
Is this a common issue like it was with the W211s?
W204
Yes, I think it is a common, and dangerous, issue.
Your photo matches my c63's problem exactly. I have seen other matching photos for these cars. Only the C63s have this issue the other W204s have a fuel pressure sensor with o-ring seals in the little pipe that is leaking. C63s have a molded in barrier and no sensor. The barrier seems too thin.
I have filed a report with the NHTSA , Complaint Number: 11289204
Leak is coming from the same place.. I missed the federal warranty by a few months. I got my parts on FCP Euro and the tool off amazon. You will not be able to remove this without the correct tool.

The fuel system should have it's own warranty that lasts a good while. I cant remember the details but when this started happening to W211 guys the found out there's a 10 year fuel system warranty.

Let me know if you find out one for the w204 because i was told 8 years and my car is a 2011
The new Mercedes-Benz fuel tank warranty upgrade impacts the fuel tank, fuel filter/sender, fuel pump, and related gaskets. Essentially, anything specified under “Covered Fuel Tank Components.” This extension impacts gasoline-fueled, non-PZEV certified Model Year 2003 – 2009 E-Class and 2006 – 2011 C-Class vehicles.
How is the warranty different?
Previously, your fuel tank warranty covered repairs for the first four years or 50,000 miles, whichever came first. With the Mercedes-Benz fuel tank warranty extension, the same parts are covered for 15 years, regardless of miles driven.
I like this find very much but don't understand the word upgrade.
Is this an article about a Mercedes used car warranty or purchased extended warranty?
Is this a paid warranty upgrade ?

Interesting. I emailed my dealership SA to look into this. I had my leaking fuel sender and filter replaced about a year ago. Would be great if they would reimburse me.
Looks like an extended warranty was issued for certain years of E and CLS classes, not the C. My dealership confirmed this and I couldn't find anything on the interwebs relating to the C (except for the linked article above). If anyone knows anything different, please share.

Sorry to hear brother. I knew for sure it was for the W211 and W219.

All good, man, I appreciate the lead. In the end, I already replaced it and while it would be nice for MB to pick up the tab, it's not the end of the world.
I know this is an old thread, but I too had my fuel sending unit spring a leak. My shop tried to convince three different dealers to cover it under extended warranty to no avail. I owe him a bonus for at least trying on my behalf. As mentioned above, the extended warranty doesn't (yet) cover the W204 for some reason. While he's in there we're going to replace both sides. Anything else I should have him perform?
