Transmission valve body question...

In the process of flushing the trans oil and decided to clean the solenoids and valve body after discovering a lot of particulates in the pan and magnets.

Does anyone have a diagram of the upper and lower valve body or know how many check valves and check ***** there are?

I've searched endlessly. I did find a diagram, however, it shows 8 check valves ( 1 big and 7 small, whereas, I only see 1 big and 5 small). I thought I was missing some or someone was already in it and missed two small ones, but I've found others with the same amount as mine. So I'm thinking the diagram is of a different 722.9 valve body.

In the pic, the orange is what I show and the red is what I saw in the diagram that I do not have.

Lastly, my lower valve body has three small check valves (smaller than the upper), whereas, I could not find any diagram that shows any valves in the lower body.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hope the pics helps someone in the future tackling this as well.

In case, this is for a '13

I am afraid 'you have screwed the pooch.' as is said. Been there but was saved by a Master Tech. My case was a very hard 1-2 and 2-3 shifts on my '72-250/8 and I naively thought a sticky valve spool was the cause so I took the valve body off and apart. A part flew out several feet when it was separated, and I did not see where it came from. The transmission it turned out was a very limited 'special sport' unit with more aggressive shifts and extra friction discs, paired with a much higher powered engine, and what was needed was a special additive (similar to limited slip rear axle lube additive) to lower the slope of the 'lock-up' torque curve on the clutches. The additive was NLA as it was made from 'sperm whale oil' which environmentalists had banned,. Fortunately he had a supply source for a substitute which was developed for use on precision metal lathes to prevent 'stick-slip' on the 'ways', but was not yet available to automotive companies. It became LUBEGARD-RED. Cured my shifting issue. It took the Tech about 10 minutes to assembly my 'valve body' and he showed me the technique for installing it so the 'jumping jack' stayed in place.

Every different model tranny may/likely has differences in the valve body. I strongly suggest you visit your Dealer and meet with their best transmission tech who has been to the transmission school and is qualified to 'stamp the transmission as rebuilt by Mercedes. Offer to pay him $100 cash or at least 2 hours of book time (in cash, off the book) to help/reassemble the valve body. IF some of the check ***** are missing , the tech likely will have some 'in his pocket.' There often are 'tricks' or special techniques in the reassembly that are not to be found in 'the books.'

The Tech is usually Proud to Demonstrate his ability to fellow techs (and he deserves adulation and praise) and very seldom gets to go into the tranny to repair or rebuild one.

dealers don't take valve bodies apart nor are there any work instructions for doing so from mercedes. Just look up some transmission resources. Sounds like you lost some parts or something.

Valve body update 722.9

Here are some pics. The only thing missing are the 2 plastic check *****. They go in the same place as before.
