I've seen the plates but had opted for used low mileage ones (or as best as I could confirm).

Interesting. Found the order link...

Obviously a mistake - be curious as to what the real price is and qty required - maybe a good find?

Did Taso ever confirm that the intake and exh are the same? If these sell for a buck I'm buying 100 and giving the regulars here a free set.

All we really need is the plates inside these.

Before everyone blows them up I already messaged on Alibaba and WhatsApp. Let's try to get the plates at least for a buck each.

I'd be down for a set of 4 if it's a legit inner plate.

I'd be wary of the the measurements, tolerances, and especially the quality of the metals used..

Yes definitely and honestly would not want to use these adjusters because of this. But if we can get the plate inside and see how it measures out would be worth a shot, especially for a dollar.

We already know the OEM metal is to soft.

I & E are definitely different - I've pulled both apart and the pin cavities are at least 'mirrored'(as best I can recall) and there may be other differences?
TBOMK, plates are only good if you have a worn pin cavity. I've replaced both of my Es - 1 for a start-up rattle (worn pin cavity), and the other for MAJOR random issues - best I could tell, whatever spring-type mechanism they use was gone and it was extremely difficult to get it into position to use the cam locking tool.
$1 is a mistake or fraud. Interesting thing here is I can't see it worth any ones time to clone this. If legit, I'm guessing an oem supplier gone rogue OR a rejected QC issue - if the price is right, maybe worth a shot.
If its a dollar, buy a few hundred - make for a cool paperweight.

The price is probably wrong because they have other mb adjusters for like 90 each.

Wow that is like $130 more than just getting them from a Dealer - this is the cheapest place I have found recently - on long island, Mercedes Dealer, shipping is pretty quick and $526 for a cam adjuster.
