honestly your absolutely right. This is my last attempt at it. If the afd kit doesn’t work I can return it full refund. The other kit I purchased used so SOL there.

when I ran the flexfuel kit it was with 600cc injectors and a standard 91 or 100 octane tune. the factory computer can compensate for the e85 content along with the flexfuel kit.
it'll never be as perfect as a dedicated e85 tune but they "work". I've done both and also tried perfecting an HP Tuners tune along with a flexfuel kit...it was impossible. the flexfuel kit although "works" would have massive fuel swings on any given day or hour of +/- 15 percent.

laptop, MPVI2 programmer, and file. I have one customer who explicitly is asking for a full custom 91 octane tune with 600cc injectors but plans to utilize a flexfuel kit. that is possible as well if you do not want to deal with map switching like he does not want to.

still waiting on the kit to arrive from AFD. They told me it should be arriving this week. Going to throw it on hopefully as soon as it arrives and pray don’t have any issues. Also got some spark plugs so they will both go on at the same time. If I still have issues with misfires then I assume it is the tune that is the problem. And that is when I will probably contact eurocharged to see if they can adjust it.
already have a whole plan ahead 🤦🏽♂️

AFD is in partnership with DW (Deatchwerks) injectors so I have a brand new set of those 600cc. I also have some bosch 600cc injectors that I purchased like 5 months ago.
But I honestly just told myself go all brand new. I have bought used stuff on the forums here and it has only screwed me up so bad. So I am over purchasing used products from random people that really don’t give me good proof there is no issues.

WE ARE BACK IN BUSINESS. AFD kit fixed most of the issues. There were a couple misfires but I think the ecu just needs a little more time to remove the old codes or something but the car is super smooth.
couple of things though. My car is spitting so many flames and popping most people would like that but I am more concerned if that is okay or not? I didn’t request EC to give me that stuff. It’s cool and all but meh. I am full catless so that might have something to do with it.
thoughts?

it's all in the tune. reach out to your tuner and hope they don't charge you extra for removing it when you didn't ask for it initially.
all the flex fuel kits do is adjust fueling pulse width to the injectors based off ethanol reading.

next up is a custom dyno tune sometime in 2021. My old injectors will be for sale though. They were cleaned by FIC already. Gonna sell them for super cheap if anyone wants

well another update, drove it for awhile and everything cleared up. Car is super smooth right now. Very happy with everything right now. Been almost a month since I didn’t drive this thing and man so glad it’s over. Car is stupid fast now.

Appreciate everyone’s support on the build. Going to run some 1/4s on Nov 21st. Debating if I should invest in a drag radial setup (with wheels) or just put radials on my stock wheels.

Was caught with a surprise today and my diff seems to be leaking. And now it is giving a really loud whine noise.
going to check the oil to see if there are any metal shavings in it to see if the whole diff needs to be replaced. Just my luck 😭😭

just my luck, looks like my diff is blown. found a bunch of metal shavings in the oil and the oil was disgusting and black as hell.
Looks like a wavetrac is happening very soon.
old oil in my car vs how new oil looks
put a magnet to the oil and surprise!!!! 🤦🏽♂️😭

damn...sorry for the bad news. it may be possible that your ring and pinion are shot also. might be best to pickup a used diff and rebuild that one to ensure your ring and pinion are in good order. any whine would suggest your ring and pinion are toast.

ended up getting some extra parts for the diff listed here https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...l-cooling.html plan to start getting a little heavy on track days so thought I would invest a couple hundred to add these items.
Also found a good deal on a used OEM LSD from a seller in Florida. Going to see how bad my diff is and if it is salvageable I will save it and put a wavetrac in it down the road.
My car currently doesn't have the LSD option as far as I know so this will be a nice upgrade.
