Need to quiet down Exhaust with Headers

Mates,

I don't care much for the loudness of our exhausts. I am in it for the power. Recently the neighbors called the cops on me for having too loud of an exhaust and I was cited for disturbing the peace. I am running Benzworks LTH with 2 magnapacks and stock resonator. I am looking to further quiet down the exhaust without cutting too much into the performance. I am also looking for a stealth setup. Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

300 cell cats will help about 30% and there is no noticeable difference in performance. Actually improves throttle tip in.

Beefier silencers is what you need. Remus (I don’t care for the tips) or Supersprint are good, but I’d probably look at Akra, IPE or FI’s valved exhausts. With the valves closed, even with headers they are quieter than stock. Valves open on the open road though can still be glorious if you want.

Brilliant makes some good resonator. I forget which ones are best on the C63 but if you look for Brilliant in the search function you'll find the model number.

Built 2008 G55 & one big 80 Series LandCruiser !
Akra works well..... civilized when needed but snarly on load.... Burns Stainless also might be worth looking at for just cats.

I have a agency power valvetronic exhaust for sale that may solve your problems?? Selling for very cheap too 😌

has one issue though. It rattles a bit when you ham on your downshifts and at low rpm.

I decided to go with dual Kooks (GE-251240) 2-1/2" Race Catalytic Converter in place of secondaries. The listing says these cats are not recommended for forced induction but I don't think I will have any problems. I am also upgrading to Weistec Stage 2 supercharger kit.

The converters you want are metal substrate vs ceramic.
The Cells per square inch, others have more experience with what works.
The metal substrate allows for much higher EGT than normal ceramic.
When I added 200 CPSI metal substrate to my 3" inner diameter exhaust in the Subaru, I got a much more quiet idle but it did little to the sound at WOT and to a harmonic when the cams come into the timing advance "zone".
It also stopped the smell and I'm running rich there, less than 11:1.

I am looking into installing the American Headers with Cats for my AMG 2007 E63 NA primarily from a performance standpoint and because they have the OEM brackets to suspend/support them from the mid section in addition to their being shaped to clear above the Cross Member that all others seemingly fail to take into account. That said I would like to, as much as is possible, retain the relatively mild rumble that I have as present. I wonder if any of you share a similar viewpoint and, if so, what might you have done to Tone down the loudness? I have seen one forum member in Tokyo with a C63 that seemingly had the same American Headers and installed individual silencers to each pipe between the custom “H” Pipe behind the Tranny and the OEM resonator, however it too sounded a bit loud. Nonetheless, I was thinking of doing something similar to this but adding 100-200 rated Cats perhaps before the Silencers and after the H Pipe in an effort to have both the performance of the Longtubes and a more civilized sound so as not to be fined/harassed by my POA! That way I’d retain the 4 Cats as well as have additional silencers before the resonator as well as the OEM Mufflers! In addition, replacing the Cams with Stage 2 or 3 ( as long as no Head Modification is required), along with new Camshaft Adjuster backing plates (ala 63 Motorsports) is in the picture as well, when the time comes…
