E85 Preparedness

For those of you running E-85. What measures have you taken to prepare your fuel system from the corn 🌽 fuel?

I changed injectors to the Bosch 550/600cc with pigtails and using Eflexfuel kit for 10k miles. Nothing else done.

You don’t have to change anything. Stock injectors are fine if you don’t have LTH. I’m full catless and the injectors duty cycle is fine.

I’ve run straight E85 for the past 5-6 months and car loves it.

All stock fuel lines as well. The issue as I understand it is with the corrosiveness of ethanol sitting in tanks/pumps/lines for a long period and not flowing. Some people seem to alternate the fuels from time to time. I believe there's also a Lucas Oil product that's an E-85 additive intended to "protect" fuel system that I've tried but can't say if it does anything.

Likely not an issue given your locale but for others considering be aware that e85 w/ Brisk or Weistec cooler plugs will start really rough on temps under 40..... I ended up running more 93 for the few weeks we have "cold" in TX..... once warmed up it was fine and in fact even seemed to have more power - much like my old RS6 on cold morning always picked up a few ponies with the cooler air.

Injectors are 775cc. Lambda stays stable at 0.80. I am stage 2 Weistec blower. What is the most e85 percentage you can run before seeing diminished returns in power? Do I need to upgrade my fuel pump?

you're boosted...you pretty much won't see diminished returns as long as your tune is built for e85.

obviously there is a point with any engine where you'll flow more fuel than you'll gain power. but with a supercharged setup i wouldn't worry.

Hi Everyone. I Just looked up Polmaxracing and his phone number on his website is local to Chicago. I am from Chicago and maybe I can be of assistance if you choose to buy from this person. I have never bought from him. I purchaced my 630cc Bosch from Quantum Fuel Systems https://www.highflowfuel.com/ but if we need to do some recon on Polmaxracing, I'm game.

Thank you for the “quantum fuel system” website, where your injectors were purchased.

Your used injectors with the connectors are worth 350 max. I made you a fair 400 offer and you’re just a child. I’ll gladly purchase them new.

Imagine being such a child that you come onto another thread to keep stirring the pot.

hello I'm selling them for 350.

imagine trying to sell injectors and a buyer telling the seller to go make him a wiring harness for his car. When the seller is selling a complete kit that is plug and play. Then telling the seller what his injectors are worth and posting an ebay store to use as a way to low ball the seller and then finding out that person is not even buying the eBay ones after all.

Fcp has them for 68 bucks each. I would buy from them and not that ebay store.

Good luck!

You were only selling the kit as complete? Please go back and look at your own listing.

you have them split up for sale, separately 350 and 300. You gave the option for the kit to be split up. Don’t try and change the narrative to fit your childish behavior for following me onto another thread where I simply thanked someone for another injector vendor. You don’t even have listed the mileage you’ve put on the injectors. Again, GLWS. But your used injectors are still worth 350 max. And I offered more (400), so take it how it is.

I used his eBay store to prove the seller wasn’t crap and trash, to show the reviews and customer feedback. Keep being a female and twisting the actual truth.

And when did I say I wasn’t going through Polmax? Because I said thank you for another recommendation? Man you literally are like a female who assumes. It’s called having more than one option and then weighing them after doing some research.
Have a good day

Dude are you stupid or something? I listed them 350 shipped.

You tell me they are worth 350 and I have them for that price shipped.

And no im not going to freaking take my wiring harness apart off my e85 kit to fit your needs.

Did I demand you take the harness off? Nope. I simply asked if the connectors/pigtails are included then made an offer higher than 350 to include it, so in essence I wouldn’t be lowballing you. You’re dense as hell. If anything I made you a fair offer. For my needs? Lol I offered you more money on top. Quit replying, you’re making yourself look stupid.

and harness? I asked you about the pigtails/connectors. That’s all.

Go back and read your posts.

You offered more after the fact. 2 times you said you will buy them if they come with the harness before even thinking about offering more.

And only after you figured out the pig tails that come with the ebay ones won't do **** for your setup and you would still need to splice into your harness.

telling me they don’t work when in fact they do work perfectly with my setup. Speak for yourself. I’ve already spoken to EC.

And I said if they come with pigtails/connectors I will buy them. You’re the one who was like what’s that . Why would anyone want to buy a product that the seller doesn’t even know all of its components.

You really must be sensitive to come onto another thread a day later, to continue to argue like a B****. I didn’t reply to your thread anymore bc it’s not that serious.

Go reread your posts where you had no clue about pigtails/adapters. Then later in the post were like “ya,they are laying around somewhere.”

Ya bro I have no idea about what pig tail and adapters I need lol. I have them sitting here next to me.

You think I'm going to sell 650 dollar injectors with the correct plugs and adapters for 350 shipped? Vrp sells the wires and plugs for 175.

Sometimes its easier to play stupid with stupid people. You have no idea what you are getting into trying to run e85 and nitrous together.

BTW I'm also staring at a 150 nitrous kit sitting next to me also.

Want some advice?

Don't run e85 kit with nitrous your car will run like **** especially with 630cc injectors.
