Yeah that’s a decent idea I’m sure you could eventually sell them and or with their larger sales audience they might be able to sell them right away ....

This is what i have done, had to make little brackets to hold it in as poly carb is very oily and not much will stick to it. consequently the first roof came out just with alot of door closing. car is now at 1580 kg with driver after serious gutting out.

Hey BLKROKT, can you tell me if these CF roof replacements are for the cars with glass pano roofs, or just coupes with metal roofs that are just getting the sunroof hole plugged?
I’m assuming the former, since I doubt people would pay $1700 for a basic CF skin to cover the sunroof hole.
My 63 has the glass pano roof.
Obviously my decision is based on the what this CF roof replaces.

I have not gone anywhere, still in for this if someone is still trying to organize the actual manufacturing of the roofs. No one ever asked me for payment.

Removing a max of 40lb from the roof of a car weighing in at around 3800lb???.....I highly doubt you would even be able to notice notice....even though it is up high. Removing 40lb from unsprung and rotational weight weight, like wheels, tyres brakes, suspension arms......now that you would notice on both handling and acceleration...........money much better spent....IMO!

The coupe pano weighs *at least* 100lbs including motors tracks glass etc.
Taking that weight off of the absolute highest point on the car will have dramatic effects on handling.
(and anybody considering this has likely already reduced unsprung and rotational weight. besides, these offers don’t ever come along, so people can be excused for skipping your “proper” order… )

)The pano roof is 75lbs in whole and you will likely be adding 15-25lbs to replace it
This is a mod you do to polish the build as it will likely add nothing but a 1% reduction in weight and cost thousands to buy and convert
