Ok, that’s 4 coupes confirmed and ready to send money.
BLKROKT (x2 to get to 5)
MBNRG
Arjy
rondeezy
I bet we can get to 8-10 coupes confirmed alone.
What about the sedan guys? Time (maybe past time) to put your money where your mouths are.
Maybe there’s another issue here we’re not aware of? Don’t mean to hijack this, but if SRG_C63 is just too busy - which I can totally respect - we could try using olszowa12’s guy maybe?

Anderson's Composites
Anderson's Composites in Southern California may be willing to do a run of roofs. I just installed one on a ZL1 Camaro and it was a quality product that was easy to install.
I would be interested in joining a group buy.

I bought a roof that was already made from one of their retailers (JDP) because it was cheaper that way ( $2115 vs approx. $2300). Anderson's Composites does sell directly. I don't have a contact at Anderson's Composites.
The roof is dry carbon. Weighs nothing.

No dice on Anderson. They only handle late-model domestic, and the tooling cost would be too high to take this on for only 10 custom roofs. Nice guy though and had a couple of leads. Will keep calling around...

First round of CPR on this thread. . .
CAN WE BRING THIS BACK FROM THE DEAD???
Summer's coming, and I know a few of us want those damn CF Roofs!

If we get 10 people together for the Coupe, then I would start the project again.
I'll ask the manufacturer tomorrow. If the people who are in so far are still there, we could start the project. However, the price might have changed. I will know more tomorrow.

Yes, making the mould is the problem ... It takes a lot of time and costs a lot of money.
I have a little more time again and would take on the project again.

new member here -if shipping to Canada is still possible I would commit to a CF coupe roof. Hopefully there’s enough interest!

I’m still onboard for taking US delivery, making sure the roofs are ok, and then shipping them on. If we get close to the magic number, I’ll also be willing to fill out the order to get it done.
Awesome news thank you

How much benefit is there to a full carbon roof vs just a sunroof delete?
I havent had a good look yet but I think pulling the sunroof and replacing with a fibreglass insert may be easier, and will yield the majority of weight loss gain

If you pulled the roof skin and went CF you'd probably save an additional 10lbs.

Ok. So who is still in for this thing? Been a little quiet. Last count we had for coupes:
@BLKROKT x2
@MBNRG
@Arjy
@rondeezy
@CF slk55
That’s 6 roofs. Rooves? Can you guys confirm you’re still in by hitting “Thanks” on this post please?
Anyway, we need to get to 10 (right @SRG_C63 ?) and I really don’t want to buy 4 more to get there.
Coupe guys where you at? This is a unique opportunity - making these one-off is just a non-starter, believe me I’ve tried.
How about you @Dr.Speedfellow ? @JumboNate ? @magictoilet ? What other coupe guys am I forgetting?

Sorry @BLKROKT I'm out, I'm a pleb who enjoys using the sunroof sometimes and wouldn't utilize the weight savings, especially with my 50+ lb. subwoofer setup lol @sytfu_colan , you interested?

Hey BlkRokt, hope it doesn't hold you guys up from getting your group buy but I am trying to modify my car with pretty simple bolt in/on mods and keeping the stock parts just in case I ever sell or values rise, as mine is very low mileage. The roof mod doesn't really fit that category for me although I can sure appreciate the weight loss from such a high point on the car and the potential increase in headroom with a helmet on. Sorry.
Also I thought I saw Jumbonates car was for sale at some point on social media, which was weird as it was only a few weeks after he bought my mode carbon vents.
Good luck.

As much as I'm obsessed with carbon fiber and would love the opportunity, I too am a pleb who enjoys using the sunroof lol
