C63 OBX Long Tube review
So despite many doubts and people telling me not to I decided I wanted long tube headers without paying 4000 for them. I saw the OBX long tubes on eBay and the specs looked promising and almost like a copy of ARH 4-1 design.
so far it has been 3 months and the welds were solid upon first inspection, my welder who works with Armytrix was shocked the pipes came from eBay and told me it was a good buy. The install took a little longer than expected and other brands may be a little quicker than 12-14 hours, but that’s because I had him reinforce the lap joints and put in v band clamps at the collectors just in case.
immediately after install I noticed a huge power and sound gain, probably 25-35 WHP as I already had the second cats deleted. Did I mention the sound? It sounds like a mad lion out of hell as I went catless straight pipes. I have no regrets with these headers and I actually think they are fantastic for the budget friendly enthusiast.
just wanted to give my 2 cents as there’s not much feedback out there for OBX, I paid $1500 total with install and I’m getting roughly the same gains as other guys who paid $4-$5k, swallow the pride and try the eBay headers if you’re like me. Yes I put eBay headers on my 507, yes it was ****ing worth it. Paired with my OE 93 header file, the car is a beast
little video clip of me running a stock e53 I ran into, without headers I wouldn’t have put busses on him like that lol

Good stuff man. I'm with you. At the end of the day, it's all about how YOU feel, right?
Data, numbers, etc is all fine and dandy, but at the end of the day, you have to pay for it and YOU have to be happy with it.
Glad you're happy bro! Thats what it's all about!

i'm with the OBX camp...even if mine weren't copies as well i'd still probably go with them if the design was right. i get the whole price for one off build, but once you've jigged it up...there is absolutely no reason why you should still charge hand built 1 off prices.
