Looking for Power Steering Brackets
Hey guys,
Anybody have any spare power steering brackets laying around? Looking for the front and rear bracket along with rear bracket bolts.

i guess...me being the 3rd owner, the rear power steering bracket wasn't ever there during my ownership. after multiple years of hard driving the sole front bracket gave way. asked my mechanic who is personal friend and he said, he's never seen a bracket on the rear of the pump.
it then leaves me to believe just like how they glued my magnesium valve covers together after breaking them, one of those southern california dealerships who maintained my car did shotty work and didn't reinstall the rear power steering brace during a service. i have pages of work done by 2-3 dealerships during ownership of the 1st and 2nd owner. i can't imagine what else they've screwed up on my car over the years. i guess only time will tell.

yep have them. Pm your email and we'll go from there. The rear bracket is available separately $31 new, but the other comes with the p/s pump. I can part with the bracket only though and keep the pump as a spare.

thanks @roadtalontsi they fit great!
one question though...how the hell do I torque the L bracket bolt. it's right up against the power steering line next to the bolt. little to zero give as far as being able to move it aside to tighten.

glad you got them. Sorry it took so long to get them shipped out.
as for that bolt hahahaha.
if you have some super stubby torx bits cut down may work, other wise unbolt a/c compressor sso you have some wiggle clearance last alternative is evac recharge a/c and remove the line.
p/s pumps are no fun to change out in a c63 unless the motor is out of the car!

hell no. those tools are for stipped out bolts and emergencies lol.
I seem to think i usually get that bolt from underneath by using a super long extension and a 1/4 wobble torx socket.
either that maybe a thin long torx bit so there is enough room to go around the hose with out messing with the a/c compressor

I couldn't even flex the hose. it seems like the hose has a stiff metal inner as a pry bar with little force didn't move it. was worried about it snapping.
I may end up replacing with a standard bolt as with it's orientation it's pretty impossible to tighten. I only was able to finger tighten before inserting the other mountinmounting
alternatively I probably should move the ac compressor to tighten as well but not sure how much work is involved with that. also ac stopped working. hopefully I didn't break anything in all the fuss.
