I washed my C63 Black Series for the first time in about a month. Does that count? LOL!

2010 C63
Got quotes for a transmission rebuild - ouch.
Today the C63 failed to proceed - no drive.- could free rev in drive.
Less than 100K km (60K miles) but will concede is has not been smooth since day one.

Full 3" exhaust system made with 304 stainless. H-pipe with a set of resonators and a titanum axel back. No mufflers made it pretty loud! Although I do love the sound! I don't think the wife and kid will like being in the car for out cottage trips lol so I'm thinking of adding a set of titanum mufflers. Should quiet it down just enough.
Edit: added a cold start clip, will try to get some drive by sound clips soon.
Hopefully the weather gets better soon! Got some welds going on with some drag radils to help me get into the 10s..

Bypassed the thermostat bleeder hose, there's another bleeder hose on the radiator side so no need for 2 of them.
I've completely eliminated all hoses on the front of the engine, should make belt and pulley changes even easier.

It's a MAP power steering tank, it was made for the EVO but works great for any setup.
Stock hoses slid on perfectly, I just need to get some nice hose clamps for them.
It does come with a screen filter, and sight glass for easy view of fluid levels.

I will be going this route as well! Is there anything else needed that you'd recommend to go along with this? Thanks again

12' W204 C63 AMG coupe "T-Rex", 12' W451 Smart Fortwo Pulse (99' W202 C43 AMG sold)
Went for a B service today. Brake fluid flushed and renewed, with Goodrich stainless braided hoses installed front and rear. The pedal has a better feel and is harder. Also installed two new 19" Conti MO front tyres. The previous ones were 10 years old and OE. The vehicle only has 35k kms on the clock which explains the age of the tyres. The rears were changed a year ago.

Installed the intake tubes, throttle bodies, intercooler bricks and lines, fuel lines, and filled up the power steering tank with fresh fluid.

This looks great!
What air filters are these? I am going to shamelessly follow your lead.
Every time I'm ready to start, i keep getting shipment notifications from VRP. I'm on shipment/package #6/7 and i don't know if I've gotten everything yet. So all of this for me still sits in the living room in boxes.
Thank you!

That’s not your permanent air filter setup, is it? That’s going to really impact performance with the filter element sitting open right over the headers like that…

I also think the vents are actually going to make it worse due to pulling hot air from the headers and radiator right into the filters. 🤷♂️

The prototype car was also only seeing 100* intake temps cruising and 117* at WOT with a small coolant reservoir. I'll be adding a Weistec trunk tank with 3/4 lines.
The Gen 5 Whipple is pretty efficient at keeping low IAT's.

Ah ok I see. Those kind of louvers pull air out from under the hood due to the way they’re shaped. The air running over the surface of the hood creates a low pressure area and pulls air up and out, no cool air will be getting in there. I might rethink the design and add scoops there instead, or do something like what Dad’s did with his hood. As the poster above says, that’s just going to pull hot header and radiator air directly into your intake more effectively.

Once I data log IAT's I'll make sure to post the logs with intake temps.
