Got my Blackboost Thermostat, very high quality machined piece. Going to be running this in the summer to help keep the engine and oil temps cooler now that I'm supercharged.
Had my TE37 SL's re-powder coated, curb rash repaired, replaced the old peeling AMG stickers with Volks OG stickers since I like the look more than the SL versions, replaced air valve caps with Rays caps, and added centercaps. Some before and after pics. Also the old tires were replaced with a set of Falken Azenis FK510's.
Also been chasing down a P0171 cel code for a few weeks, opened up the airboxes to clean to the mafs and discovered the passenger side airbox screws can't torque down from the plastic screw holes being stripped and one screw was missing. Ordered a used right side box today, hopefully it resolves the issue.
Had all fluids changed, diff, oil and SC coolant. New injectors to avoid hydrolocking, new 1 step colder plugs (standard for the SC) and then I hand washed it.
Hand washing it knocked .2 off my 1/4 mi time. 😏
In actually did this a while ago, but in case anyone has a lowered C63, make sure to use the shorter Whiteline sway bar links to fit to the new ride height. Previous owner put cheap links and for some reasons forgot to reinstall the sway bar bracket bolts (which I bought from the dealership for 134 sick i posted in another thread) on one side. Now that the front is nice and quiet I noticed the rear links also clunk lol. Those I will be repairing soon.
Also if the recessed torx is rusted or stripped when removing the old link you can use a plier clamp over the rubber bushing to hold the bolt still while loosening the nut.
Also the replacement passenger side airbox I installed solved the P0171 cel for bank 1 lean condition I was having. Turns out loose screws on the airbox really do cause issues.

What tint % and type are you running? Planning on re-tinting mine and torn between 20% & 35%. This looks exactly what I'm after
What tint % and type are you running? Planning on re-tinting mine and torn between 20% & 35%
My tint is 35%, the safety inspections laws for tint became more stringent recently and I had to remove my 20% tint to the current 35% to get my safety and registration up to date.
Installed a custom 8" OEM style Android HU and designed some custom AMG gauges to log my Supercharger IAT's, Engine Coolant Temp, Trans Temp, Oil Temp, Fuel Pressure, Voltage and Timing.
This should be a much more seamless setup than hooking up my laptop and HP tuners for data logging.
What app are you running to display and what device are you using to grab the data?
Also, if you figure out the PID for Engine Oil Temp let me know lol
Torque Pro and OBDLink LX, yeah seems the oil temp PID hasn't been cracked yet for Mercedes. I mostly wanted it to keep an eye at my IAT's, Engine Temp, Trans Temp and Fuel Pressure.
Love the setup tho, looks very similar to the AMG Performance Media option.
