C63 AMG clicks when putting the gear selector in P. I this normal?
Hi everyone!. I bought my w204 C63 AMG 2013 Coupe a month ago and I noticed that sometimes the transmission makes this click noise immediately after putting the gear selector in P, is this normal?. I also have to mention that the car was parked in a street with some slope. Here is a video so you can hear this.

Which brake are you referring to?, when you put the car in P does a brake engage?. Is this clicking sound when putting the gear selector in P normal?

I just meant when you put it in park (brake, stop of motion, not moving). The C63 makes tons of little noises, you'll get used to them. You only need to worry if the car starts/continues to move after putting it in park.

As for weird noises, it's just a general rule with any sort of sports/performance car that there will be some noises. Cracking/squeaking of plastic parts, engine fans turning on/off, brake squeak, exhaust pops/bangs/gurgles, air conditioner, 1000 different engine parts moving/settling, etc. It's only when the noises start to affect the daily driving of the car that you should really be worried about it.

I live in Kansas, we don't really have inclines to be honest lol, so I can't really help you there. You could always apply the parking brake if you're worried about it.

The clicking noise sounds like the shift interlock engaging. If you don't have your foot on the brake, it will prevent you from shifting.
