Intake manifold Upgrade

Hey guys so my 2013 C63 threw a check engine light about a month ago finically got it diagnosed intake manifold is leaking not sure if it’s just gaskets or the common issue of a cracked center plate on the intake manifold I’m preparing for the worst at this point I’ve priced a new intake from Benz and its $4200 which is pretty ludicrous but with that said it seems as though the aluminum/magnesium material is very prone to cracking so it seems pointless to spend that much too only have the same problem again down the road and Mercedes does not offer just the center plate you gotta buy the whole plenum so what are options a supercharger which would eliminate the oem intake ? Or have my welded if it’s cracked which can be very challenging depending on where it’s cracked by the sounds of it from other owners ? I’ve also been researching aftermarket options which I’ve only come across one that may be worth considering it’s the lower intake center plate only and it’s available from German muscle Co in Arizona for $1100 I’ve attached pic id greatly appreciate any insight into what other owners have done to remedy this issue if their is any thanks again Chris

Thank you for sharing my post! I just saw this thread and was going to respond and saw this.

I have an intake manifold from a 507 for a very affordable price!

That plate you linked is for running bigger throttle bodies, you can get a replacement aluminum plate for a few hundred and replace it if that is all that is wrong and typically is the first place they fail.

I agree with the others above. I had the same problem here in Australia. It’s so annoying that MB don’t sell just the bits that need replacing. I bought one of these. I then bought a used lower manifold that was in reasonable condition. Car has been running well ever since.

I appreciate all the feedback guys I’m gonna hopefully get it torn down soon and see exactly what I’m dealing with than I may just buy a used one if in fact it is cracked
