Alcantera steering wheel and car seat covers

Hey all,

Been looking into potentially getting some sort of covers for the alcantera on the steering wheel (probably more alcantera) as well as seat covers to protect the porcelain leather.

Don't think I'd want to do a stich on wrap for the steering wheel, I'd prefer not to and just have something I guess I could just fasten around it if that's even a thing with no slippage. Anyone have any pointers to where I can find one of these as well as nice car seat covers for a coupe?

I see, that's unfortunate to hear. They're in fairly nice condition at the moment so I'd maybe I can try wearing gloves while driving it. Do you have any pointers for seat covers either way?

Just clean it regularly and it will last a long time, its a synthetic material

seat covers are universal in terms of appearance . Iv seen all sorts of sets. End of the day you will always be able to tell there’s something on the seat it’ll never blend. Not trying to be negative, just how it is with some things

Same as with the steering wheel, keep it clean and add lotion 2-3times a year and it will last very well. The buckets on the sides, will crack regardless of seat covere or not and a leather restauration on these spots every 8-10 year will probably cost the same as a seatcovere and not give a cheap feeling in the meantime.

Imo just drive it and enjoy. If it gets dirty clean it. The Alcantara cleans up really well. Here's what I did when mine got crusty.

With some dish soap and an electric toothbrush (tip: the $5 kids kind runs on AA and is a detailing secret weapon) I was able to get back the soft texture and deep black color. Crusty on R and refreshed on L.

What did you use to clean that? My seat inserts are looking like your right side of the steering wheel.

I use Sonax Alcantara cleaner, but there are many options specifically designed for it. Cleaner, brush, microfibre towel and its very simple
