C63 vs c6 vette
Hello everyone, I’m looking to acquire a new car for spring. I love the look of the 2014 c63 and I like the 6.2 but I’ve read all the problems for them. Would purchasing one with 70-100k be a bad idea. I hear some people say they won’t last 100k miles. How would they stack up against a c6 zo6/zr1 specifically I’m sure I would be able to repair the c6 a lot cheaper then the Benz. Any help/input would be appreciated.

They have a few issues that will cost money if they fail. But they aren't unreliable. The big items are probably no more expensive than LS7 heads or a Z06/ZR1 clutch job.
The car would need a supercharger to stack up against a H/C/I C6Z or FBO ZR1, performance-wise, but they are much more practical than a Vette.

C63's are pretty solid and a good choice. There is a reason why everyone keeps them or regrets selling them. Just be sure to check over the service history.

You just need to find one that's been maintained and not owned by Youngdumbfullacum Jr. who does five burnouts per day and changes the oil once a year to save weed money.

I have had 2 C63
Had a 2012 from 25k to 75k miles with ZERO issues and now a 2015 I bought with 23k miles and now have 53k miles also ZERO issues
Both were/are daily drivers

Just have to find one without certain tunes on them and they last a long time. Friend had an 07' m156 engine with 240k miles ran great still had original headbolts. Comparing c6 z06 and zr1 is not comparable. Actually you should look into c6 z06 and valve / cylinder head issues. A known problem. Hard to compare 3000lb 2 dr cars to 4000lb sedans/coupes. Do you want a manual? 4 seats? cheaper mods? Do not think corvette maintenance is "cheap" because its a chevy. What is your plan for using the car? These are all important aspects. A c6 Zr1 will pretty much destroy anything amg offers in stock form. To reverse this comparison you might as well ask should I get a Mclaren SLR or a CTS-V? lol that is how different the cars are.
