Radiator Fan Always On and Loud! :(
I haven't had any issues until now! The car has 86k miles on it now. Before the fan wouldn't really ever kick on or at least I wouldn't hear it.
Now as soon as I turn the engine on, the fan kicks on and is loud! It is running the entire time the engine is on... no check engine light.
I tried searching the threads, but found nothing.
Has anyone ever had this issue? The car doesn't overheat at all and has no CEL.. Please help!!
PS. This forum has been amazing so far! =]

Sounds like you could have a faulty sensor, or relay somewhere. Are you sure you don't have any codes?

I have my HEVAC on 'Auto' both winter and summer. The A/C works from time to time during the off season and probably is best to getting things circulating even during the winter months. Probably gets the compressor and other parts lubricated also

Any scanners that you would recommend? Never owned one before =/
Yeah, sounds like just a messed up switch/sensor/relay or something... just don't know how to figure that out lol.. I only know how to do an oil change and some bulbs, thats about it

I used the icarsoft mb ii. Pretty simple, you plug it into the ODBII port and select the car through the menus. Then you select which component of the car you want to scan. I will tell you if the code is stored or active. Helped me fix a problem once and I never used a code scanner. There are cheaper ones out there but that was worked for me.

Update: Well I took the car out today and it was very hot so I tried the AC and it does NOT blow cold! Do you think this is a separate issue or is it connected to the radiator fan always on high? It starts running on high as soon as I turn the car on..

bring your car in for service. you aren't going to fix your car through telepathy.

It's probably the ac switch as mentioned above. Could be the temperature sensor on the front of the engine as well. Either take it in or replace one of those and see. Your ac not blowing cold leads to probably being that ac switch though
